In 2011, world number-one Caroline Wozniacki defeated Elena Vesnina in the final 6–2, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at that year's Charleston Open. Samantha Stosur was the defending champion, but lost to Vesnina in the third round.

The 2014 Coupe Banque Nationale was a tennis tournament played on indoor carpet courts. It was the 22nd edition of the Tournoi de Québec and the first with National Bank of Canada as the main sponsor, and was part of the WTA International tournaments of the 2014 WTA Tour. It took place at the PEPS de l'Université Laval in Quebec City, Canada, from September 8 through September 14, 2014.

This was the first edition of the tournament, primarily organised due to the cancellation of many tournaments during the 2020 season, because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Garbiñe Muguruza defeated Barbora Krejčíková in the final, 7–6(8–6), 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis event at the 2021 Dubai Tennis Championships. Muguruza dropped just one set during the tournament, to Aryna Sabalenka in the quarterfinals.

Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic defeated Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula in the final, 2–6, 6–3, 6–2 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2022 French Open. It was their second French Open title as a team. Mladenovic extended her winning streak at the event to 18 consecutive match wins and three titles, having last lost in the quarterfinals of the 2018 tournament.
Yulia Putintseva was the defending champion, but was defeated in the semifinals by Aleksandra Krunić.
Barbora Krejčíková defeated Iga Świątek in the final, 5–7, 7–6(7–4), 6–3 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Ostrava Open. It was Krejčíková's second WTA Tour title in back-to-back weeks, and she ended Świątek's streak of ten consecutive victories in WTA Tour finals. This marked only Świątek's second career loss in a WTA Tour-level final, out of twelve played.
Jeļena Ostapenko defeated Barbora Krejčíková in the final, 7–6(10–8), 6–4 to win the singles tennis title at the 2023 Birmingham Classic.
