The 2015 Pittsburgh Riverhounds season was the club's sixteenth season of existence. It is the Riverhounds' fifth season playing in the United Soccer League, and the club's third season hosting matches at soccer-specific Highmark Stadium.
The 2015 Wilmington Hammerheads season was the club's nineteenth season of competitive soccer, and their fifth consecutive season since their one-year hiatus in 2010.
The 2015 Richmond Kickers season was the club's twenty-third season of existence. It is also the Kickers' eighth-consecutive year in the third-tier of American soccer, playing in the United Soccer League for their fourth season.
The 2015 Louisville City FC season was the club's first season playing in Louisville, Kentucky in the United Soccer League (USL), in the third tier of the United States soccer league system.
The 2015 Rochester Rhinos season was the club's twentieth season. It was the Rhinos fifth-consecutive year in the third tier of American soccer, playing in the United Soccer League Eastern Conference. The Rhinos finished the regular season in first place, clinching the #1 seed and home field advantage in the 2015 USL Playoffs. The Rhinos won the USL Championship, the club's 5th overall, by defeating LA Galaxy II 2–1 after extra time.
The 2015 New York Red Bulls II season was the club's first season of existence, and their first in United Soccer League, the third-tier of the American soccer pyramid. The Red Bulls II played in the Eastern Division of USL.
The 2016 Toronto FC II season was the second season in the club's history. In 2015 the team finished 11th in the Eastern Conference, therefore, missing the playoffs.

They broke this record twice more later in their season, first on May 14 with 23,375 attendees, then again on September 17 with an attendance of 24,376. On July 20, with five games left, the club broke the USL's single season attendance record.
