Khadija Arib is a Moroccan-Dutch politician of the Labour Party, who served as Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands from 12 December 2015 to 7 April 2021. In the 2016 Speaker of the Dutch House of Representatives election on 13 January, she was elected to the position, which she had served as Acting Speaker since the resignation of Anouchka van Miltenburg on 12 December 2015. Arib became a member of the House of Representatives following the 1998 Dutch general election and served until 2022, with a brief interruption between 2006 and 2007.

Schiphol Airport railway station is a major passenger railway station in Haarlemmermeer, Netherlands, beneath the terminal complex of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, operated by the Nederlandse Spoorwegen. The 2016 Speaker of the House of Representatives election was called to elect the new Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands after incumbent Anouchka van Miltenburg of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) had resigned on 12 December 2015. Van Miltenburg, who had been the Speaker since 25 September 2012, resigned after increasing criticism on her performance as Speaker. Khadija Arib of the Labour Party (PvdA), who had been a member of the House of Representatives from 1998 to 2006 and again since 2007, beat Ton Elias of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), who had been a member of the House since 2008.

Hebe Charlotte Kohlbrugge was a Dutch Protestant theologian and Second World War resistance member. She was a member of the anti-Nazi Confessing Church for eleven months and assisted the reverend Günther Harder in Fehrbellin. Kohlbrugge was involved in spiritual resistance against Nazi Germany through the secret distribution of a pamphlet in the Netherlands and Switzerland during the Second World War. After the war, she worked as the secretary of the Germany Commission in the Council for Church and Government of the Dutch Reformed Church in 1947, holding responsibility for restoring ties with churches alongside Arend van Leeuwen in the Soviet-occupied East Germany and other Iron Curtain nations until 1989. Kohlbrugge gave students post-war ideology and enable Dutch students understand socialist ideals, sending theology students to Central Eastern Europe nations and more than 80 Dutch students spent one or two years studying. She was a recipient of the Bronze Lion and the American Medal of Freedom with the Silver Palm.
