The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships are the world championships for the sport of rhythmic gymnastics. The tournament is promoted and organized by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). It is one of the three tournaments in rhythmic gymnastics officially organized by FIG, as well as the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup and the gymnastics competitions at the Olympic Games. The first edition of the World Championships was held in 1963, a time when the sport was known as modern gymnastics. The current program of the World Championships contemplates both individual and group performances. In even non-Olympic years and the year before the Olympics, a team event is also contested. Two events are not competed at the World Championships anymore: individual rope and free hands.

The Asian Gymnastic Union (AGU) organizes Asian Gymnastics Championships for each of the FIG gymnastic disciplines: men's and women's artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, aerobic gymnastics and trampoline gymnastics. This article lists only the senior editions of the Asian Gymnastics Championships, in which competitors must be over 16 years of age. Specific editions of the Asian Championships also exist for junior athletes; for example, the first edition of the Junior Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in 1971, but the first senior edition of the tournament was only held in 1996. Similarly, Junior Asian Trampoline Championships were held in 2010 and 2012, but only in 2014 the Asian Gymnastics Union held a senior tournament in conjunction with the junior championships for the first time.
Zhu Ting is a Chinese female volleyball player. She is the Outside Hitter and Captain of the Chinese women's volleyball national team. She played for Turkish club Vakıfbank Istanbul from 2016 to 2019, and currently plays for Tianjin Bohai Bank.
Miu Hirano is a Japanese table tennis player. She won the women's singles at the 2017 Asian Table Tennis Championships, sweeping away three top Chinese players - Olympic champion and world number one Ding Ning, Zhu Yuling and in the finals, Chen Meng - to clinch the championship. She also won the 2016 Women's World Cup — the youngest ever winner.
Fang Bo is a Chinese male table tennis player. In 2002, Fang Bo became a member of the Shandong Luneng table tennis club. In 2009, he joined the China national table tennis first team. In the same year December 2009, he won all four team and individual titles at the 2009 World Junior Championships, becoming the first youth player to accomplish this feat in China. At his peak in 2015, he reached the men's singles final at the World Championships by defeating the second-seeded Xu Xin and the defending champion Zhang Jike. Fang Bo then obtained his first world table tennis champion title in 2016 during the World Team Table Tennis Championships. In 2017, he partnered with Petrissa Solja of the German table tennis team and won bronze in the mixed doubles at the World Championships in Düsseldorf, Germany. Fang Bo was ranked fifth in the China National Table Tennis (First) Team after emerging as first runner-up of the 2018 China National Table Tennis Championships. In 2019, Fang Bo successfully led his teammates and Team Tian Jin to win the overall team gold medal in the 2019 China Super League. Concomitantly, Fang Bo represented UMMC at the ETTU Table Tennis Champions League and the team came in second after losing 2:3 to Fakel Gazprom Orenburg in the final leg.
The 2017 World Women's Curling Championship was a curling event held between March 18–26 at the Capital Indoor Stadium in Beijing, China. The winning Rachel Homan rink from Canada was the first team to go through a women's world championship undefeated since the event began in 1979, winning 13 games through the round robin, playoffs and final. Runners-up Russia took their first silver medal on this event.

Liu Tingting is a Chinese artistic gymnast and the current team captain of the Chinese women's national artistic gymnastics team. She is best known for her innovative, quick connections and high degree of difficulty on balance beam and uneven bars. She is the 2018 World champion, the 2019 World silver medalist, and the 2017 Asian champion on balance beam, and the 2018 Asian Games and 2019 Chinese national champion on the uneven bars. She has also often competed in the all-around event in her senior career, where is the 2017 Asian champion and a two time Chinese national champion.

The 2017 Asian Athletics Championships was the 22nd edition of the Asian Athletics Championships. It was held from 6 to 9 July 2017 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, India. Bhubaneswar was the third Indian city to host Asian Championships. Around 560 athletes from 41 countries attended the event.

The 2017 Asian Youth Athletics Championships was the second edition of the biennial, continental athletics competition for Asian athletes aged fifteen to seventeen. It was held at the National Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand from 20–23 May. Organised by the Athletics Association of Thailand, a total of forty events were contested with the events divided evenly between the sexes. The event programme mirrored that of the previous IAAF World Youth Championships in Athletics, with the exception of a boy's decathlon, rather than the octathlon.
The 2018 Women's World Team Squash Championships is the women's edition of the 2018 World Team Squash Championships, which serves as the world team championship for squash players. The event held in Dalian, China took place from 11 to 19 September 2018. The tournament is organized by the World Squash Federation and the Chinese Squash Association. The Egypt team won its fourth World Team Championships, beating the England team in the final.
