The 2021 Chinese Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held from May 4-9, 2021 in Chengdu, Sichuan. They also served as the qualifier for the gymnastics event at the 2021 National Games of China.

After the competition, gymnasts were named to the Olympic training squads based on one of four criteria: a top-eight all-around placement at these championships, membership on the Chinese teams at the 2019 World Championships, high placements at the FIG World Cup series, or high potential as determined by the national team coaches. Lin Chaopan is a Chinese artistic gymnast. He competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, as well as the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Zuo Xiaoqing is a Chinese actress, TV presenter and former rhythmic gymnast.
Luo Huan is an elite Chinese gymnast. She is a two-time Chinese national all-around champion and the 2017 Asian and 2018 Asian Games all-around silver medalist. On her specialty events, she is the 2017 Asian and 2017 Chinese national uneven bars champion and the 2018 Chinese balance beam champion. She was a member of the Chinese women's gymnastics team that won the team bronze medal at the 2018 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. Overall, she has won eleven medals at the Chinese Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
Liu Yang is a Chinese artistic gymnast. He is the 2020 Olympic and 2014 World champion on rings. He was a member of the Chinese team who won gold at the 2014 World Championships and also won bronze in the team competition at the 2016 Olympics.

Aiko Sugihara is a Japanese female artistic gymnast. She is the 2015 Asian team and all-around champion and uneven bars and floor exercise silver medalist. Zou Jingyuan is a Chinese artistic gymnast who specializes on parallel bars. He is the 2020 Olympic Champion and a two-time world champion on parallel bars. He was a member of the Chinese team that won bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, gold at the 2018 World Championships, and bronze at the 2019 World Championships.
The men's artistic individual all-around event at the 2020 Summer Olympics was held on 24 and 28 July 2021 at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre. Approximately 70 gymnasts from 35 nations competed in the all-around in the qualifying round.
Sun Wei is a Chinese artistic gymnast. He is a 2018 world champion in the team competition and a member of the 2020 Olympic team.
Tang Xijing is a Chinese artistic gymnast. She is the 2019 World all-around silver medalist, matching Jiang Yuyuan at the 2010 World Championships for the highest all-around finish for a Chinese woman in World or Olympic history. She is also the 2020 Olympic silver medalist on balance beam. On the junior level, she is the 2018 Youth Olympic balance beam champion and uneven bars bronze medalist.

Best known as a vault and floor specialist, she is a two-time Chinese national vault champion, the 2020 Chinese national floor champion, and a ten-time medalist at the Chinese Artistic Gymnastics Championships. On the junior level, she is the 2018 Asian all-around, vault, and floor exercise champion.
Li Shijia is a Chinese artistic gymnast. She is the 2019 World bronze medalist on balance beam and the 2019 Zhaoqing World Cup champion on uneven bars and balance beam.

Guan Chenchen is a Chinese artistic gymnast. She is the 2020 Olympic champion and the 2020 Chinese national champion on balance beam. On the junior level, she was a member of the Chinese team who won silver at the inaugural Junior World Championships.
Urara Ashikawa is a Japanese artistic gymnast who represented Japan at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She is the 2021 World Champion on the balance beam.
