The 2018 Liga 3 National Zone Route was played from 14 July to 20 October 2018. [1] A total of 32 teams competed in the national zone route to decide 20 of the 32 places in the national round of the 2018 Liga 3. [2]

The following 32 teams entered the national zone route:

There should be 40 teams relegated from 2017 Liga 2 competed in this route, [4] [5] but Pro Duta and Persifa Fak-fak disqualified. In 5 June 2018, PSSI disqualified PPSM Magelang and Sragen United. [6] Also PS Bengkulu, PS Timah BaBel, and Persigubin Gunung Bintang withdrew from the competition. [7] Later in 28 July 2018, PSSI disqualified Yahukimo because they didn't attend match coordination meeting in Gawalise Stadium. [8]

Format

In the preliminary round, 32 teams divided into eight groups. Each group was played on a home-and-away round-robin basis, except for group 7 and 8 that is played on a home tournament. The winners and runner-ups from each group advanced to national round of 2018 Liga 3.

In the play-off round, third-placed teams on each group competed in a knockout round home and away tournament. Each winners advanced to national round of 2018 Liga 3.

2017 Soeratin Cup Football tournament season

The 2017 Soeratin Cup season is a football competition which is intended for footballers under the age of seventeen and fifteen. The national round started on 14 October 2017.

The 2018 Liga 3 was the second season of the Liga 3 under its current name, the third season under its current league structure, and the only amateur league football competition in Indonesia.

The 2018–19 Piala Indonesia was the seventh edition of Piala Indonesia. It began with the first round on 8 May 2018, and concluded with the finals on 21 July and 6 August 2019. The winner would qualify for the play-off round of the 2020 AFC Cup.

The 2018 Liga 3 Bengkulu is a qualifying round for the national round of 2018 Liga 3. PS Benteng Central Bengkulu, the winner of the 2017 Liga 3 Bengkulu are the defending champions. The competition will begin on June 30, 2018.

The 2018 Liga 3 Regional Round was played from 24 September to 15 November 2018. A total of 69 teams competed in the regional round to decide 12 of the 32 places in the national round of the 2018 Liga 3.

The 2019 Liga 3 was the third season of the Liga 3 under its current name, the fourth season under its current league structure, and the only amateur league football competition in Indonesia.

The 2019 Liga 1 U-20 was the ninth edition of the Indonesia Junior Level League system since its introduction in 2008 and the first of the Elite Pro Academy since being changed from an under-19 to under-20. The season started on 20 July and finished with a final on 12 October 2019.

The Elite Pro Academy is an Indonesian system of youth football leagues that are managed, organised and controlled by the PSSI. The system was introduced in early 2018 and was active for the first time during the 2018 season. The system covers the under-16 since 2018, under-18 and under-20 age groups since 2019. The league runs in conjunction with the Liga 1 as a developmental league. It is contested by 18 teams which compete in the Liga 1.

The 2019 Liga 3 Regional Round was played from 18 November to 5 December 2019. A total of 81 teams competed in the regional round to decide 26 of the 32 places in the national round of the 2019 Liga 3.

The 2021–22 Liga 3 is the sixth season of the Liga 3 under its current name, the seventh season under its current league structure, and the only amateur league football competition in Indonesia.
