The 2022 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps was an endurance sportscar racing event that was held on 25 September 2022, as the fifth round of the 2022 European Le Mans Series.

Contents

In LMP2, the race was won by the #22 United Autosports run Oreca 07-Gibson, driven by Tom Gamble, Duncan Tappy and Philip Hanson.

In LMP3, the race was won by the #13 Inter Europol Competition run Ligier JS P320, driven by Charles Crews, Nico Pino and Guilherme Oliveira.

In LMGTE, the race was won by the #57 Kessel Racing run Ferrari 488 GTE Evo, driven by Conrad Grunewald, Frederik Schandorff and Mikkel Jensen.

Several teams used Spa as a test prior to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, including eventual winners Team Peugeot and Team Essex Porsche, as well as the Jetalliance Racing Aston Martin. This is the 28th European Le Mans Series race since 2004.

The 2011 1000 km of Spa-Francorchamps was held at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on May 7, 2011. It was the second round of the 2011 Le Mans Series season and the 2011 Intercontinental Le Mans Cup. Prior to the race weekend there were up to 60 provisional entries but was shortened to 54 as there were some withdrawals from Aston Martin Racing who withdrew to continue developing their new and struggling AMR-One. It was a similar situation for Hope Racing who were not quite ready to race the new KERS-driven Oreca 01 Hybrid. Other cars had to withdraw from damage prior to the weekend including the No. 24 OAK Racing Pescarolo 01 LMP1 car.

W Racing Team is a Belgian auto racing team founded in 2009 by engineer and former head of Volkswagen Motorsport René Verbist, racing driver Vincent Vosse, and entrepreneur Yves Weerts. Between 2010 and 2022 the team campaigned Audi R8 LMSs in several international sports car series. In 2010 the team won the Belcar Drivers' and Teams' Championships, while in 2011 they won the Spa 24 Hours. After winning multiple titles in various GT championships, WRT is considered to be one of the best teams worldwide in GT racing. In 2019 and 2020 WRT ran two Audi RS5 Turbo DTMs in the highly competitive DTM championship. In 2021 WRT added a full time LMP2 program, by entering an Oreca 07 in both the FIA World Endurance Championship and European Le Mans Series, and won the LMP2 class of the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans. From 2023 on WRT switched their partnership in GT racing from Audi to BMW and will run the BMW M4 GT3. The team will also run two factory backed BMW M Hybrid V8s in the FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar category from 2024.

The 2013 WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps was an endurance race held at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium on 3—4 May 2013, and the annual running of the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. It was the second round of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship season. Defending World Champions André Lotterer, Benoît Tréluyer and Marcel Fässler led a clean sweep of the overall race podium for Audi, while Pecom Racing were victorious in the LMP2 category. The No. 51 car of AF Corse won the LMGTE Pro class, and 8 Star Motorsports won in LMGTE Am.

The 2014 WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, formally known as the WEC 6 Heures de Spa-Francorchamps, was an endurance sports car racing event held at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Spa, Belgium on 2–3 May 2014. Spa-Francorchamps served as the second race of the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship. Toyota's Anthony Davidson, Sébastien Buemi, and Nicolas Lapierre led the field to the checkered flag for their second consecutive victory of the season, ahead of Audi and the sister Toyota. The LMP2 category also had its second consecutive winner with G-Drive Racing ahead of Jota Sport's guest entry in the series. AF Corse Ferrari held off Porsche Team Manthey in the LMGTE Pro class, while another AF Corse Ferrari won the LMGTE Am category ahead of two Aston Martins.
