The 2022 Women's IHF Beach Handball World Championships was the ninth edition of the championship, held from 21 to 26 June 2022 at Heraklion, Crete. Greece under the aegis of International Handball Federation (IHF). [1] It was the first time in history that the championship will be organised by Hellenic Handball Federation. [2]
Germany captured their first title with a finals win over Spain. [3]

The 2015 IHF World Women's Handball Championship, the 22nd event hosted by the International Handball Federation, was held in Denmark. The decision to select Denmark as the host was announced on 27 January 2011.
The 2017 IHF World Women's Handball Championship, the 23rd event hosted by the International Handball Federation, was held in Germany from 1 to 17 December 2017. Germany was the only applicant for this championship. Germany was host of the World Championships in 1965 and 1997.
The 2015 IHF Men's Junior World Championship was the 20th edition of the tournament and held at Brazil from 19 July to 1 August 2015. The decision to select Brazil as the host was announced 1 August 2014. France won their first title by defeating Denmark 26–24 in the final.
