Pre-season and friendlies

On 17 May, The Millers announched their first pre-season friendly, against Mansfield Town. [47] Five days later, a second fixture was confirmed, against Parkgate. [48] A third match was added against Lincoln City. [49] In June, Premier League side Sheffield United was added to the pre-season schedule. [50] On 6 June, a fifth and final pre-season fixture was announced, against Middlesbrough. [51]

Also confirmed by the club was a week-long warm weather training camp in Murcia, Spain between 8 and 15 July. [52]
