Alger Park and Ash Creek are two adjacent but separately developed and distinct residential neighborhoods in Dallas, Texas that today are joined as a single neighborhood association and allied crime watch. [1]
Plans for Alger Park were announced in September 1950 by Dallas real estate developer and later United States Congressman Bruce Alger. [2] The subdivision was announced as a 180-lot subdivision with deed restrictions requiring homes to be of masonry construction and not less than 1,000 square feet (93 m2) in floor space. Initial price ranges of homes were $11,000 to $14,000. Alger Park was advertised as adjoining Casa Linda Estates and extending from Peavy Road toward Buckner Boulevard, near the Reinhardt school of DISD. [2] Streets were 31 feet (9.4 m) wide and connected by a system of 15-foot (4.6 m) alleys. Streets were curbed. [2] Engineer O.R. "Chick" McElya was retained to assist in designing of the project. The project territory was originally in unincorporated Dallas County, Texas, not within the city limits of Dallas. It was annexed by the city of Dallas in October 1950. [4]
The landscaped traffic islands between forked streets that help distinguish the subdivision, such as the one located at Coldwater Circle and Estadaco Drive were originally conceived and developed by the Meadow Gate Garden Club. [5] The project took three years and was completed in 1957. [6] Alger himself, then a United States Congressman, spoke at the dedication and celebratory ceremonies. [5]
Ash Creek, formally known as Ash Creek Estates, is a subdivision of less than 100 homes bounded by Buckner Boulevard, Mercer Drive, Mariposa Drive, and Ash Creek Drive with the long, narrow lots on Oates Drive serving as the southeastern border of the subdivision.

Walnut Hill station is a DART light rail station in Dallas, Texas. It is served by the Red Line and the Orange Line. The elevated station is located at the intersection of Walnut Hill Lane and Manderville Lane, roughly halfway between North Central Expressway and Greenville Avenue, with exits on both the northern and southern sides of Walnut Hill Lane.

Bruce Reynolds Alger was an American politician, real estate agent and developer, and a Republican U.S. representative from Texas, the first to have represented a Dallas district since Reconstruction. He served from 1955 until 1965. Though born in Dallas, Alger was reared in Webster Groves, Missouri, a small suburb of St. Louis.
Old Lake Highlands is a neighborhood in east Dallas, Texas (USA). It is adjacent to White Rock Lake. It is in Dallas Council District 9.
Bluffview is a neighborhood in North Dallas, Texas (USA). It is bounded by Northwest Highway and the Preston Hollow neighborhood on the north, Inwood Road and the Devonshire neighborhood on the east, University Boulevard and the Elm Thicket/North Park neighborhood on the south, and Midway Road, Bluebonnett Road, Bluff View Blvd., and the Shorecrest and Cochran's Chapel neighborhoods on the west.

South Garland Transit Center is a bus-only mass transit station in the Zacha Junction neighborhood of Garland, Texas. Routes at the station largely service Garland and East Dallas, with high-frequency connections to Downtown Dallas, Buckner station, and White Rock station.
Collin Creek Mall was a regional shopping mall in Plano, Texas. The two-level, 1.1-million-square-foot (100,000 m2) structure was built in 1981 and was located on the western side of North Central Expressway (US 75) near President George Bush Turnpike. The mall's name was a combination of Collin County and Spring Creek, the latter of which it was built on top of.
Elmwood is a residential neighborhood in central Oak Cliff, within Dallas, Texas, composed of tudor cottages, craftsman bungalows and ranch-style homes built mostly in the 1920s through the 1950s surrounding a central greenbelt along the limestone banks of Cedar Creek (Texas).

Lochwood is a neighborhood in east Dallas, Texas (USA) adjacent to Lake Park Estates and Old Lake Highlands. It is located east of White Rock Lake and sometimes referred to as 'Dixon Branch' because of the creek by that name running through the neighborhood.
Forest Meadow is a suburban residential neighborhood within the Lake Highlands area of Dallas, Texas. The neighborhood is thought of today as being bounded by Greenville Avenue on the west, Whitehurst Drive on the south, Abrams Road on the east, and an alley demarcating the neighborhood from businesses and apartment blocks on Forest Lane to the north. However, the earliest plats identified by the name "Forest Meadows" were east of Abrams Road and some plats were south of Whitehurst Drive. These eastern areas are now generally considered part of Town Creek for neighborhood association purposes. Earlier plats used the name "Forest Meadows" and this nomenclature is also in use to describe neighborhoods in the area.
MorningSide is a neighborhood on the east side of Detroit, Michigan. The area is bounded by Harper Avenue and Interstate 94 on the north, Mack Avenue to the south, East Outer Drive and Whittier on the east and Alter Road and East Outer Drive to the west. The local association that shares the name MorningSide with the community is a collaboration of residents working together to take care of this area. Northwest Plano Park & Ride is a bus-only park and ride station in Plano, Texas. The station is located on the western side of Dallas North Tollway in Plano's Legacy Park neighborhood. The station is operated by Dallas Area Rapid Transit and is the northernmost facility in the DART system. Unlike most DART transit centers, the lot does not have an air-conditioned waiting area.
Buckner Terrace is a neighborhood and 2,800 acre real estate development that included active construction from the 1960s to the 1980s located in East Dallas. Although the Buckner Terrace Homeowner's Association does not serve the portions of the subdivision north of Interstate 30, the subdivision is actually bisected by Interstate 30, with a significant portion of its homes located in the areas near the Claremont and White Rock Hills neighborhoods. The earliest developed portions of the neighborhood were north of Interstate 30 and some homes in Buckner Terrace north of Interstate 30 date from 1959-1962.
Laketown is an unincorporated community in Woodside Township, Sangamon County, Illinois, entirely surrounded by the city of Springfield. It is made up of three subdivisions: Southlawn, Lake Springfield Estates, and Circle Drive. There are approximately 970 homes in Laketown, as well as various small businesses.
