The Conservative A-List,also called Priority List,was a list of United Kingdom candidates drawn up by Conservative Central Office at the behest of David Cameron following his election as party leader in December 2005,aimed as a means of broadening the number of Conservative Members of Parliament,potential peers and MEPs from minority groups and women as well as other preferred candidates for candidature. Where the preferred forums for selection were held,at least two members from the list were put to every open primary,and where these were not held the A-list were recommended directly,particularly to the top target seats.
The Global Peace and Unity is a recurring two-day event/festival and conference held at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in Royal Victoria Dock,London,England and organized by the Islam Channel. It is the largest Muslim,interfaith and multicultural event of its kind in Europe. There have been six conferences since its inception. The first was on 4 December 2005,with others in 2006,2007,2008,2010 and 2013. The 2006 event attracted over 55,000 visitors from five continents. The conference includes an Islamic exhibition,an evening nasheed concert,as well as a series of talks,workshops,seminars and lectures from international speakers over two days.

Clarke was suspended from the party on 24 September 2015,following the suicide of Conservative activist Elliott Johnson who had claimed that Clarke had bullied him.
British prime minister David Cameron conducted the first major reshuffle of his coalition government on 4 September 2012. Allegations of Islamophobia in the UK Conservative Party have been made,including against senior politicians,such as Boris Johnson,Michael Gove and Zac Goldsmith. Baroness Warsi,former co-chair of the Conservative Party,said in 2018 that anti-Muslim prejudice had "poisoned" the party. Many Muslim party members welcomed Warsi's comments,saying that they felt the issue had been marginalised within the party.

Between 2000 and 2002,he served as a Deputy Minister of Finance in Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov's government. Chernukhin fled to the UK after Vladimir Putin dismissed him in 2004 and he is known to be a loyalist to former Russian prime minister Mikhail Kasyanov,who in 2005 became an opponent of Putin. He received British citizenship in 2011.
