Atmiya University is a private university located in Rajkot, Gujarat, India. [1] It was established in March 2018 by Sarvodaya Kelavni Samaj under Gujarat Private Universities (Second Amendment) Act, 2018, [2] after the Bill was approved in March of that year. [3]
The Right to Information (RTI) is an act of the Parliament of India which sets out the rules and procedures regarding citizens' right to access information. It replaced the former Freedom of Information Act, 2002. Under the provisions of RTI Act, any citizen of India may request information from a "public authority" which is required to reply expeditiously or within thirty days. In case of the matter involving a petitioner's life and liberty, the information has to be provided within 48 hours. The Act also requires every public authority to computerise their records for wide dissemination and to proactively publish certain categories of information so that the citizens need minimum recourse to request information formally.

The One Hundred and Third Amendment of the Constitution of India, officially known as the Constitution Act, 2019, introduces 10% reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) of society for admission to Central Government-run educational institutions and private educational institutions, and for employment in Central Government jobs. The Amendment does not make such reservations mandatory in State Government-run educational institutions or State Government jobs. However, some states have chosen to implement the 10% reservation for economically weaker sections.
