The Narmada River, previously also known as Narbada or anglicised as Nerbudda, is the 5th longest river in India and overall the longest west-flowing river in the country. Birsa Munda was an Indian tribal independence activist, and folk hero who belonged to the Munda tribe. He spearheaded a tribal religious millenarian movement that arose in the Bengal Presidency in the late 19th century, during the British Raj, thereby making him an important figure in the history of the Indian independence movement. The revolt mainly concentrated in the Munda belt of Khunti, Tamar, Sarwada and Bandgaon.

Zhagadia is a taluka in Bharuch district in the state of Gujarat, India. Zhagadia is located 2 mi (3.2 km) south of the southern bank of the Narmada River. It is southeast of the historic town ShuklaThirth, where Chanakya apparently lived until he returned to Pataliputra. The economy of Zhagadia is dependent on industrial area (GIDC) and the fertile land where bananas, sugar cane, cotton, wheat, sorghum, and other vegetables and fruits are grown and exported. He was re-elected to the Lok Sabha in 1998, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014 from the same constituency ; five times in a row. He also served in the Government of Gujarat in 1994 as a Deputy Minister. He holds a master's degree in Social Work (M.S.W.) from Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahemadabad and was graduated (B.A.) from South Gujarat University.

Dediyapada is a Tehsil and town in Narmada District with a sizable population of Tribal communities in which Vasava and Tadvi form the majority. This taluka is bounded by Zaghadia taluka (Bharuch), Sagbara taluka, Nandod taluka, Maharashtra state and Mandavi taluka. Dediyapada is well connected with Bharuch, Ankleshwar, Rajpipla, Netrang, Sagbara, Akkalkuva and Shahada by National Highway & State Highway. Despite being remote in location, it is well connected by Gujarat and Maharashtra ST Buses.

Statue of Ulgulan is a proposed 150 feet tall statue of Birsa Munda, a tribal freedom fighter from the Eastern Indian state of Jharkhand. The statue will be built on NH 33 Ranchi-Jamshedpur national highway near Bundu. The announcement of Statue of Ulgulan has been made by the Ex-Deputy Chief Minister of Jharkhand and AJSU President Shri Sudesh Mahto at the Birsa Jan Panchayat held on 15 November 2016, the birth date of Bhagwan Birsa Birsa Munda at Ulihatu Village, Khunti after the unanimous approval by the Jan Panchayat. Birsa Munda's kin Sukhram Munda has been made the convener of the Statue of Ulgulan committee. The committee will go to every village in the region to apprise people about the statue and collect a stone from every household. The statue is expected to be built by 15 November 2018.

Rajpipla railway station is a small railway station in Narmada district, Gujarat. Its code is RAJ. It serves Rajpipla town. The station consists of a single platform. The platform is not well sheltered. It lacks many facilities including water and sanitation.

Rajpipla Airport is a proposed airport at Rajpipla, Gujarat which would serve visitors near the Statue of Unity, located 20 kilometres (12 mi) away. The government has allocated 47 hectares of land, which was previously an airstrip owned by the Royal Family of Rajpipla during British Raj, to the Airports Authority of India.

The Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium is an international field hockey stadium situated at Rourkela, India. The stadium has been named after the tribal leader, Birsa Munda, who was a famous freedom fighter. With a seating capacity of 20,011 permanent seats, it is officially recognised by the Guinness World Records as the largest fully seated hockey arena in the world on January 29, 2023.
