Atoosa Reza Reaser is an American lawyer and Democratic Party politician from Virginia. She was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in the 2023 Virginia House of Delegates election to represent the 27th district. [1] Previous to her service in the General Assembly, Reaser served a four-year term during which was twice elected by her peers to serve as Vice Chair of Loudoun County School Board. [2] Reaser is the first Iranian-American elected to the Virginia General Assembly. [3]

The county seat is Leesburg. Loudoun County is part of the Washington–Arlington–Alexandria, DC–VA–MD–WV Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Margaret L. "Maggie" McIntosh is an American politician from the state of Maryland. She was a member of the Maryland House of Delegates from 1993 to 2023. She is a former Baltimore City Public School teacher who now chairs one of the six standing committees of the Maryland House of Delegates. A Democrat, she represented the state's 43rd district in Baltimore City. Following her retirement from the Maryland House of Delegates in 2023, McIntosh has worked as a senior consultant at the Cornerstone Government Affairs lobbying group.

Loudoun County, Virginia is divided into eight magisterial districts: Algonkian, Ashburn, Broad Run, Catoctin, Dulles, Leesburg, Little River, and Sterling. The magisterial districts each elect one supervisor to the Board of Supervisors which governs Loudoun County. There is also a Chair elected by the county at-large, bringing total Board membership to nine. Board members serve concurrent, four-year terms. A Vice Chair is selected by the Board from among its membership. The current Chair is Phyllis Randall and the current Vice Chair is Juli Briskman, the Algonkian District Supervisor. She has served as Vice Chair since January 2024. Salaries for the current Board term of 2024-2027 were set by the previous Board in January 2023.

The 2023 Virginia House of Delegates election took place on November 7, 2023, concurrently with elections for the Virginia Senate, to elect members of the 163rd Virginia General Assembly. All 100 delegates were elected to two-year terms from single-member districts. Nomination primaries held through the Department of Elections were held June 20, 2023. Democrats gained 3 seats, winning back control with a 51–49 majority after having previously lost it in 2021.
