The Bangla Academy is the official regulatory body of the Bengali language in Bangladesh. It is an autonomous institution funded by the Government of Bangladesh that fosters the Bengali language, literature and culture, works to develop and implement national language policy and conducts original research in Bengali. Selina Parvin was a Bangladeshi journalist and poet. She is one of the intellectual martyrs killed by Al-Badr on 14 December, immediately before the victory after the 9-month-long war of independence of Bangladesh in 1971. This day later came to be commemorated as the intellectual martyr day. As a journalist she used to work for Weekly Begum, Weekly Lalana and Shilalipi. She was buried in Azimpur Graveyard on 18 December 1971.

National Sports Awards are given by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Government of Bangladesh for specific contributions in the field of games and sports. The award was introduced in 1976. As of 2011, total 175 sports personalities won the award.

The 2019–20 Federation Cup, also known as TVS Federation Cup 2019, was 31st edition of the tournament, the main domestic annual club football competition in Bangladesh organized by Bangladesh Football Federation. The 13 participants will compete for the tournament. The winner of the tournament will earn the slot of playing preliminary round of 2021 AFC Cup.

Idris Haider is a Bangladeshi film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor. From his early career in Television industry he is famous for making Drama Series."Syed Barir Bou" was the first and most popular drama serial which was aired on ATN Bangla. Bangladeshi Actress Pori Moni made her first debut on "Second Innings" Drama Serial which was Directed by Idris Haider. He is the chairman of record label company Wow Play TV. His recent film "Nil Foring" is awaited to be released on 2021 which is delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic. As he announced in media he is going to make another film "Amar Shonar Bangla, Ami Tomay Valobashi."

The players' draft for the 2022–23 Bangladesh Premier League took place on 23 November 2022 at Le Meridian Hotel in Dhaka.
