South Korean Chess Championship

The South Korean Chess Championship is organized by the Korea Chess Federation, which was established in 2008 after FIDE negotiated an agreement between three rival organizations to unify into a single governing body for chess in South Korea. [1]

He has completed his early education from Emmanuel Mission Secondary School, Bhilwara and then embarked-upon his career of being chess player.

Wang Hao (chess player) Chinese chess player

Wang Hao is a retired Chinese chess grandmaster. In November 2009, Wang became the fourth Chinese player to break through the 2700 Elo rating mark. In 2019, he qualified for the 2020 Candidates Tournament by winning the FIDE Grand Swiss Tournament 2019, making him the second Chinese player to qualify for a Candidates Tournament. Wang retired from professional chess citing health issues in 2021.

Wesley Barbasa So is a Philippine-born American chess grandmaster, the inaugural and current World Fischer Random Chess Champion and a three-time, and the current, U.S. Chess Champion. He is also a three-time Filipino Chess Champion. On the March 2017 FIDE rating list, he was ranked number two in the world and had an Elo rating of 2822, making him the fifth-highest rated player in history.

Evgenij Miroshnichenko is a Ukrainian chess player. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 2002.

Ivan Cheparinov Bulgarian chess grandmaster

Ivan Cheparinov is a Bulgarian chess grandmaster. He is a four-time Bulgarian champion. Cheparinov competed in the FIDE World Cup in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2015 and 2017. In 2018 he switched his national federation to Georgia.

World Blitz Chess Championship

The World Blitz Chess Championship is a chess tournament held to determine the world champion in chess played under blitz time controls. Since 2012, FIDE has held an annual joint rapid and blitz chess tournament and billed it as the World Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships. The current world blitz champion is the French grandmaster Maxime Vachier-Lagrave. Bibisara Assaubayeva from Kazakhstan is the current women's blitz world champion.

The FIDE Grand Prix is a biennial series of chess tournaments, organized by FIDE and its commercial partner Agon. Each series consist of three to six chess tournaments, which form part of the qualification cycle for the World Chess Championship or Women's World Chess Championship.

Anish Giri Russian-Dutch chess player (born 1994)

Anish Kumar Giri is a Dutch chess player. A chess prodigy, he completed the requirements for the title Grandmaster at the age of 14 years, 7 months and 2 days. FIDE awarded him the title in 2009. He was born in Russia to a Nepali father and a Russian mother.

The Mongolian Chess Championship is currently organized by the Mongolian Chess Federation. The first national championship was held in 1948 and the first women's championship was held in 1954. Bazar Khatanbaatar holds the record for most national championships won, with eight; Tsagaan Battsetseg leads in women's titles with seven.

Salem Saleh (chess player) Emirati chess player

Salem Abdulrahman Mohamed Saleh is an Emirati chess player. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 2009. Saleh competed in the FIDE World Cup in 2011, 2013 and 2015.

The Myanmar National Chess Championship is an annual chess tournament organized by the Myanmar Chess Federation. With the exception of a hiatus in 1977, the tournament has been held annually since 1974. IM Wynn Zaw Htun is the most successful player, winning the championship nine times.

The Malagasy Chess Championship is organized by the Madagascar Chess Federation, which was initially founded in 1970 and most recently revived in 2008 after a decade of inactivity. The national championship was first held in 1994. There is also a separate Malagasy Women's Chess Championship which was first held in 2009.

Hovhannes Gabuzyan is an Armenian chess player who received the FIDE title of Grandmaster (GM) in September 2012. He won the 77th Armenian Chess Championship in 2017 and 81st Armenian Chess Championship in 2021.

Hans Moke Niemann is an American chess Grandmaster and Twitch livestreamer. He was awarded the Grandmaster title by FIDE on January 22, 2021. On March 1 2019, Niemann first entered the Top 100 Junior players list on position 88. As of February 2021 he is ranked 31st.
