Zimbabwe Landlocked country in southeastern Africa

Zimbabwe, officially the Republic of Zimbabwe, formerly Rhodesia, and Zimbabwe Rhodesia, is a landlocked country located in Southern Africa, between the Zambezi and Limpopo Rivers, bordered by South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Mozambique. FIDE titles are awarded by the international chess governing body FIDE for outstanding performance. The highest such title is Grandmaster (GM). Open titles may be earned by all players, while women's titles are restricted to female players. Many strong female players hold both open and women's titles. Robert Gwaze is a Zimbabwean chess player born in Harare, Zimbabwe. He is a former student at Prince Edward School, in Harare. At age 15 he was a Zimbabwe National Chess Champion at both junior and senior levels.

The Namibia national cricket team is the team that represents the Republic of Namibia and is governed by Cricket Namibia, an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1992, and became part of the High Performance Program in 2007. 2019–21 ICC World Test Championship Cricket championship

The 2019–21 ICC World Test Championship is the inaugural edition of the ICC World Test Championship of Test cricket. It started from 1 August 2019 with the first Test of the 2019 Ashes series, and will finish with a final at Lord's in England in June 2021.

World Chess Championship 2021

The World Chess Championship 2021 will be a chess match between the reigning World Chess Champion, Magnus Carlsen, and a challenger to determine the World Chess Champion. It will be held under the auspices of FIDE, the world chess federation. The match was originally scheduled for the latter half of 2020, but has been postponed until 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic was confirmed to have reached Zimbabwe in March 2020. Some of Zimbabwe's provinces, especially Manicaland, Masvingo and Mashonaland East, also struggled with a malaria outbreak at the same time. Though malaria is treatable, the healthcare system faces drug shortages and increased strain with the spread of COVID-19.
