The winner and runner-up qualify for the Copa Libertadores Femenina, the South American Women's Champions League. The competition is organised by the Paraguayan Football Association.

The Serie A Femenina de Ecuador is the highest amateur league of women's football in Ecuador. The competition is organised by the Ecuadorian Football Federation. Until 2013, the tournament was played by divisional selections and not clubs. After a restructuring in 2013 clubs contest the league title. The winner qualifies to the Copa Libertadores Femenina.

The 2016 Copa Libertadores Femenina was the eighth edition of the Copa Libertadores Femenina, South America's premier women's club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. The tournament was played in Uruguay from 6 to 20 December 2016.

The national chess championship of Mexico has been organized annually since 1973 by FENAMAC, the Mexican chess federation. Known since 1997 as the National Absolute Championship and previously as the National Closed Championship, it was initially organized as a round-robin tournament. However, several editions in the 1990s were organized as a series of elimination matches, and the championship is currently run as a Swiss-system tournament. The Honduran Chess Championship is organized by FENAH, the chess federation of Honduras, which was founded in 1993.

The Peruvian National Road Championships are held annually to decide the cycling champions in both the road race and time trial discipline, across various categories.

The Campeonato Nacional de Fútbol also called the Campeonato Nacional, it was an official Peruvian football competition created and then organized by the Peruvian Football Federation, it was played until the 1963 season. It was practically an interleague tournament, in which the provincial teams from the different departments that made up the Inca nation participated and also that depended on the Peruvian Federation. It was really the first great National Tournament held in football in Peru.

Gianmarco Leiva is a Peruvian chess International Master (2013), two-times Peruvian Chess Championship winner.
