OC Transpo is the primary public transport agency for the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. operating bus rapid transit, light rail, conventional bus routes, and door-to-door paratransit in the nation's capital region.
The Transitway is a bus rapid transit (BRT) network operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It comprises a series of bus-only roadways and reserved lanes on city streets and highways. The dedicated busways ensure that buses and emergency vehicles on the Transitway rarely intersect directly with regular traffic, making it possible to run quickly and consistently, even during rush hour traffic. OC Transpo operates a network of rapid routes which use the Transitway to connect communities with the O-Train light rail system. Additional bus routes also use segments of the Transitway.
The Trillium Line, also called O-Train Line 2, is a diesel light rail transit (DLRT) service, using main line trains. The line is in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and is operated by OC Transpo.

Much of the system has a dedicated right-of-way, while in the downtown area, vehicles run underground. This subway-surface alignment is known as semi-metro. As of 2018, it was number seven on a list of the busiest light rail transit systems in North America, with over 113,000 daily weekday riders.
Ion, stylized as ION, is an integrated public transportation network in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. It is operated by Keolis and is part of the Grand River Transit (GRT) system, partially replacing GRT's Route 200 iXpress bus service. The section of the bus route serving Cambridge has been renamed "Ion Bus", and renumbered as 302. The first phase commenced operations on June 21, 2019, between the north end of Waterloo and the south end of Kitchener. A future extension of light rail to the downtown Galt area of Cambridge is planned but construction may not begin on that line until 2028. In 2023, Ion LRT had an annual ridership of 4.3 million, and a daily ridership of 11,780.
Line 5 Eglinton, also known as the Eglinton Crosstown LRT or the Crosstown, is a light rail transit line that is under construction in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to expand and improve public transportation in the Greater Toronto Area. Owned by Metrolinx and operated by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), the line will be part of the Toronto subway system. The Crosstown was conceived in 2007 during the administration of Toronto mayor David Miller as part of Transit City, a large-scale transit expansion plan. The line is being constructed in two phases.
Line 6 Finch West, also known as the Finch West LRT, is a light rail transit line under construction in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to be operated by the Toronto Transit Commission. The 10.3-kilometre (6.4 mi), 18-stop line is to extend from Finch West station on Line 1 Yonge–University to the North Campus of Humber Polytechnic in Etobicoke. The line will operate in a dedicated above-ground right-of-way, much of it within Finch Avenue, segregated from street traffic. The line will use transit signal priority and standard gauge rather than the broad Toronto gauge. The line is forecast to carry about 14.6 million rides a year or 40,000 a day by 2031 and will replace the 36B Finch West bus route, which is one of the three busiest bus routes in Toronto. In 2023, Line 6 was expected to open within the first half of 2024, with an estimated cost of CA$2.5 billion. In early December 2024, Councillor Jamaal Myers, chairman of the TTC board, stated that the TTC did not expect Line 6 to open before June 2025 at the earliest. Metrolinx, the project owner, has not announced an opening date.
D.L. MacDonald Yard is the maintenance facility, garage, and operations centre for the Capital and Metro light rail transit lines operated by Edmonton Transit Service, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Located to the northeast in the Kennedale industrial area, at 13310 - 50A Street, the facility opened in December 1983 at a cost of $28.2 million.
26th Street/Bergamot station is an at-grade light rail station in the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located near the intersection of 26th Street and Olympic Boulevard in Santa Monica, California and near the Bergamot Station Arts Center. The station is served by the E Line.
The Hurontario LRT, also known as the Hazel McCallion Line and formerly the Hurontario–Main LRT, is a light rail line under construction in the cities of Mississauga and Brampton, Ontario, Canada. The line will run along Hurontario Street from Mississauga's Port Credit neighbourhood north to Steeles Avenue in Brampton. The line will be built and operated as a public-private partnership by Mobilinx, a consortium of private European and Japanese companies, with provincial transit agency Metrolinx retaining ownership of the line. It will be the only street railway operating in the Greater Toronto Area outside Toronto proper.
The Confederation Line, also called O-Train Line 1, is a urban rail line operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, as part of the city's O-Train system. It opened on September 14, 2019, and is O-Train's second line. It operates on an east–west route, with a segment under Queen Street in the downtown core, complementing the north–south Trillium Line that operates to the west of the downtown core. Despite using light rail rolling stock and technology, the Confederation Line is completely grade separated. Having full grade separation and CBTC train control, this line can be categorised as a light metro.
The Eglinton Maintenance and Storage Facility is a rail yard and vehicle service centre for Line 5 Eglinton of the Toronto subway. The facility is located near the line's western terminus at Mount Dennis station, on lands formerly occupied by Kodak's Toronto campus.
The Valley Line is a low-floor urban light rail line in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The 13.1-kilometre (8.1 mi) line runs southeast from downtown at 102 Street stop to Mill Woods Town Centre at Mill Woods stop and connects to the Capital and Metro lines at Churchill station, downtown. The line is being constructed in phases, with phase 1 being the current open 12-station portion between 102 Street and Mill Woods that commenced operations on November 4, 2023. The second phase, consisting of the 14-kilometre (8.7 mi), 16-station portion between 102 Street and Lewis Farms, began construction in 2021 and is expected to be completed in 2028. Upon completion, the entire Valley Line is expected to serve more than 100,000 commuters daily, nearly matching the current Capital Line and Metro Line in terms of capacity and ridership.
