Breman-Ajumako-Enyan District is a former district council that was located in Central Region, Ghana. Originally created as a district council in 1975. However, on 1978, it was split off into two new district councils: Asikuma/Odoben/Brakwa District Council (capital Breman Asikuma) and Ajumako/Enyan/Essiam District Council (capital Ajumako). The district council was located in the northeast part of Central Region and had Breman Asikuma as its capital town.

Odoben is a town located in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa district of the Central Region of Ghana. The town is known for its cocoa production. It is the second most prominent town after Breman Asikuma - the district capital. Odoben was famously visited by Ghana’s first president, Dr Kwame Nkrumah and during his era, the town received massive development. Telephone and telegraph lines were installed linking the town to Agona Swedru. Among the famous people hailing from Odoben are, the famous Ghanaian politician and statesman, P.C. Appiah Ofori and the legendary Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC chairman Ofori Nuako. The town is home to Odoben Senior High School, a reputable second cycle institution in Ghana. Anthony Seibu Alec Abban was a Ghanaian teacher and politician. He was member of parliament in the first republic. He first served as a member of parliament for Ajumako-Asikuma electoral district from 1954 to 1965. In 1965 the constituency was split and he served as the member of parliament representing the Ajumako electoral area. He was also deputy minister in various portfolios in the first republic. In the third republic, he was a member of the People's National Party, the party that won the 1979 general election. Abban was a trained teacher. Prior to politics, he taught in various schools in the then Gold Coast.
