It is one of the six wards on Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council of the town. [8] The ward is one of two (along with Burbage St Catherines and Lash Hill) of Burbage and covers the settlement of Leicester Grange and the suburbs of Sketchley, Stretton and Tilton.
The ward covers the western, central, and southern portions of Burbage. [9] It is bounded on all sides by the A5 road/Watling Street, the M69 motorway at Junction 1 [10] and the Birmingham-Peterborough Line. It is also close to the Warwickshire border with Nuneaton and Burton Hastings. It is a mix of residential, industrial, retail, and open countryside. [11]
