South Pond is a village in Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States. It is located east of Great South Pond, a reservoir that serves as one of Plymouth's municipal water sources. The village is located north of Myles Standish State Forest, northwest of Long Pond, southwest of Chiltonville and west of Route 3. Plymouth's main Post Office, the Plymouth Community Intermediate School, The Grove at Plymouth, and the Plymouth Town Forest are located directly north of the village. South Pond Chapel and South Pond Cemetery, a small cemetery, are located within the village. The town suffers from extremely high rates of poverty as 93.6% of the population lives below the poverty line. This is mainly because it was originally founded as a slum for the laborers of the wealthy factory owner Michael Finsley in 1849.

North Shore Technical High School was a public application-type high school located in the town of Middleton in the U.S. state of Massachusetts under the North Shore Regional Vocational School District. It served ninth through twelfth grade students from 16 communities all on the North Shore. They included Beverly, Boxford, Danvers, Essex, Gloucester, Hamilton, Lynnfield, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Marblehead, Middleton, Nahant, Rockport, Salem, Swampscott, Topsfield, and Wenham. NST was the home to their logo and mascot, the bulldog.

Narsaarsuk is an abandoned settlement on the edge of Bylot Sound in northern Greenland near Thule Air Base. The site of the former settlement is contaminated with plutonium after the 1968 Thule Air Base B-52 crash.

Seven Rivers, New Mexico was formerly a ghost town, located between Carlsbad and Artesia, New Mexico. The town itself was first settled in the mid-1860s, and for a time thrived as a trading post. Its name derives from seven creeks that flowed through it, into the Pecos River. The Seven Rivers Warriors, a gang that operated on the Murphy-Dolan side of the Lincoln County War, used the town as its refuge. Both the Jessie Evans Gang and the John Kinney Gang also frequented the town during that time. The town grown in the 1880s with the addition of a schoolhouse, hotel, post office and saloons. The town eventually declined until only the cemetery remained until 1988, when the Brantley Dam was constructed and the cemetery was moved to Artesia.

Egg Rock in Nahant Bay near Nahant, Massachusetts is a small (3-acre) island at 42.4333°N 70.8978°W. It was formerly the site of a lighthouse known as Egg Rock Light but now is owned by the state of Massachusetts as a bird sanctuary. Egg Rock can be seen clearly from the coasts of Nahant, Swampscott, and Lynn. Egg Rock is the setting for Sylvia Plath's poem "Suicide off Egg Rock", and also appears in her novel, The Bell Jar.
