Blue Cypress Lake, originally called Lake Wilmington, is a lake in Indian River County of the Treasure Coast in Florida. It is the largest lake in the Treasure Coast and Indian River County. It is the headwaters lake of the St. Johns River. The sources of water are several creeks from the south, two from the west, and Moonshine Bay from the North that flow into the lake. All the water flows out of the lake to the northwest into M Canal and Zigzag Canal. The lake is over 6,500 acres (26 km²) in size, 21 mi (34 km) in circumference, and has an average depth of 8 feet. The lake is 2,100 acres (8.7 km²) larger than Lake Washington, 27 mi (43 km) north of this lake. The lake's name comes from the blue appearance of the cypress trees as the morning sun's rays reflect off the water. A fishing camp called Middletons Fish Camp is 4 mi (6 km) off State Road 60. The Blue Cypress Village is south of the small boat canal from the fish camp.

For nearly two centuries, Grape Island was a small, but thriving community of fishermen, farmers, and clam diggers, until the land was purchased by the US Government and turned into a wildlife refuge in the middle of the 20th Century. Its last resident was Lewis Kilborn who lived his entire life on the island until his death in 1984.
Choate Island, also known as Hog Island, is an island located in the Essex River Estuary in Essex, Massachusetts. It is part of the Crane Wildlife Refuge, which is owned and managed by The Trustees of Reservations. The 135-acre (0.55 km2) island is a refuge for a variety of birds and animals. It is surrounded by a salt marsh and has a spruce forest which was planted in the 1930s and makes the island easily visible from much of the surrounding area. The island has been inhabited by the Native Americans of the area, and was visited by early Europeans, who established farming on the island. The Choate House, built around 1730, remains relatively unchanged.

Limpia Creek, originally known as the Rio Limpia, is a stream that heads in Jeff Davis County, Texas and its mouth is in Pecos County, Texas. Limpa is the Spanish word for "clear or clean water". The creek has its head in the Davis Mountains at an elevation of 7,160 feet, at location 30°38′27″N104°09′42″W on the northeast slope of Mount Livermore. The creek flows 42 miles down Limpia Canyon past Fort Davis and Wild Rose Pass to the canyon mouth, where it turns eastward to its mouth at its confluence with Barrilla Draw, where it disappears into the ground at an elevation of 3,533 feet / 1,077 meters.
