Castle Hill is a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, located 34 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district and 9.5 kilometres north of Parramatta. It is within the Hills District region, split between the local government areas of The Hills Shire and Hornsby Shire.
The Liverpool & Inner West Line is a commuter rail line operated by Sydney Trains in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It serves the Inner West and Western Sydney. The Main Suburban railway line is the physical railway line which carries the section of the Inner West & Liverpool Line between Redfern and Lidcombe, followed by the Main South railway line between Lidcombe and Liverpool. On 30 September 2024, a significant portion of the line closed between Bankstown and Sydenham as part of conversion works to facilitate the extension of the Sydney Metro's North West & Bankstown Line along the existing rail corridor to Bankstown. The Bankstown-Sydenham section of the line will thus operate under the Sydney Metro network upon its re-opening in 2025.

Sydney Metro Northwest was a rapid transit project that constructed the first section of the Metro North West & Bankstown Line through the north-western suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The project included the conversion of the existing Epping to Chatswood rail link to metro standards and connects the suburbs of Rouse Hill and Chatswood via Castle Hill and Epping. The project was managed by Transport for NSW. The completed Metro North West & Bankstown Line opened on 26 May 2019.
Metrobus is a high frequency, high capacity bus network in Sydney, Australia, first introduced in 2008. Metrobus services run every 10 minutes during peak periods, 15 minutes during off-peak weekday periods, and 20 minutes on weekends, linking key commercial suburbs and centres throughout the city, with the intention of making timetables obsolete. All buses were initially painted in a distinctive red livery but recently, the standard Transport for NSW livery of blue and white has been adopted. All Metrobus services are wheelchair accessible. All route numbers were prefixed with an "M" followed by a two-digit number.

Kellyville railway station is an elevated station on the Metro North West & Bankstown Line, as part of the Sydney Metro network. The station was built by Impregilo-Salini and Metro Trains Sydney for Transport for NSW, and is situated along Samantha Riley Drive, Kellyville, in Sydney, Australia. Train services from the station run to Tallawong and Sydenham, with a journey time to Chatswood of around 33 minutes and to Sydenham in around 56 minutes. As the New South Wales Government's Sydney's Rail Future strategy is delivered over the next 20 years, services have been extended to the Sydney central business district (CBD) and towards Bankstown in late 2025. Kellyville Station opened on 26 May 2019 as part of the Sydney Metro Northwest line from Chatswood to Tallawong, which has since been extended down towards Sydenham via the City.
Sydney Metro is a fully automated rapid transit rail system in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It currently consists of the Metro North West & Bankstown Line, running between Tallawong and Sydenham and consisting of 21 stations on 52 km (32 mi) of twin tracks, mostly underground. The first stage of the line opened on 26 May 2019, running between Tallawong and Chatswood. This line was extended from Chatswood to Sydenham on 19 August 2024 as part of the first stage of the City & Southwest project. The second stage of the project will then further extend this line to Bankstown as part of a partial conversion of the existing Bankstown Line with a scheduled completion in 2025.

The station opened 26 May 2019. It is currently the least used station on the Sydney Metro.

Tallawong railway station is a Sydney Metro station near the intersection of Cudgegong and Schofield Roads in Tallawong, New South Wales, Australia. The station is the terminus of the Metro North West & Bankstown Line on the Sydney Metro network. Beyond the station to the west lies the Tallawong depot, where metro rolling stock is stabled.

The project will extend the Metro North West & Bankstown Line from Chatswood on the North Shore, to Bankstown in the city's southwest via the Sydney central business district. The line is part of the Sydney Metro network and its first phase, Sydney Metro City, opened on 19 August 2024.
Sydney Metro was a proposed rapid transit railway network in Sydney, intended to connect the central business district (CBD) with the inner and outer city suburbs Rouse Hill, Westmead, Malabar and lower North Shore. Initially proposed in 2008 as ‘Metro Link’, the plan was modified and renamed later that year. After half a billion dollars was spent on planning, property acquisitions and a tender process, it was cancelled in 2010.
