Elaeagnus triflora (millaa millaa in a Queensland Australian aboriginal language) is a climbing plant of the family Elaeagnaceae. [1] [2] Its native range encompasses Taiwan, Malesia, and the Australian state of Queensland. [1] Its fruit is considered bush tucker in Australia. [3] [4]
Elaeagnus angustifolia, commonly called Russian olive, silver berry, oleaster, or wild olive, is a species of Elaeagnus, native to western and central Asia, Iran, from southern Russia and Kazakhstan to Turkey, parts of Pakistan and parts of India. As of 2020, it is widely established in North America as an introduced species.
The Combretaceae, often called the white mangrove family, are a family of flowering plants in the order Myrtales. The family includes about 530 species of trees, shrubs, and lianas in ca 10 genera. The family includes the leadwood tree, Combretum imberbe. Three genera, Conocarpus, Laguncularia, and Lumnitzera, grow in mangrove habitats (mangals). It is an erect, spreading shrub with broad leaves with a spiky tip, and usually pink tubular flowers with the petals rolled back. It is found in New South Wales and Queensland growing on loam or sandy soils.
