Little League Baseball and Softball is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, United States, that organizes local youth baseball and softball leagues throughout the United States and the rest of the world.
Baseball at the Summer Olympics unofficially debuted at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris, and was first contested as a demonstration sport at the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm. It became an official Olympic sport at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, then was played at each Olympiad through the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. As of September 2022, WBSC Europe counts 40 members for baseball and 39 for softball.

The U-18 European Baseball Championship, formerly the European Junior Baseball Championship, is a biennial, under-18 international baseball tournament sanctioned and created by the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB). The tournament is conducted in the year prior to the 18U Baseball World Cup, which is likewise held every other year. The top 4 teams in the European Junior Baseball Championship qualify for the World Cup.
The U-15 European Baseball Championship, formerly the European Youth Baseball Championship or European Baseball Championship Cadets, is an international baseball tournament sanctioned and created by the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB) since 1975. In 2012, the maximum age for players was lowered from 16 to 15 years old.
The U-12 European Baseball Championship, formerly the European Juveniles Baseball Championship, is an annual under-12 international baseball tournament sanctioned and created by the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB) since 1992. Since 2006, the teams from Czech Republic dominated the tournament, but were defeated in 2010 by Russia.

Europe first participated in the Little League World Series in 1960. Teams from Europe were given a berth in the LLWS each year between 1960 and 2000. In 2001, the region was split into two co-terminus regions: Europe Region and Transatlantic Region. The Europe Region comprised mostly native European teams while the Transatlantic Region comprised mostly American expatriates. This distinction was eliminated in 2008; from 2008 to 2012, teams made up of either native Europeans or American expatriates were eligible to qualify from the Europe Region.

It was established in 2013 by the merger of the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) and International Softball Federation (ISF). Under the WBSC's organizational structure, the IBAF and ISF now serve as the confederation's baseball and softball divisions, respectively. Each division is governed by an executive committee, while the WBSC is governed by an executive board.
The Asia Winter Baseball League is a professional baseball league hosted in Taiwan with 2012 as its inaugural season. Making use of the warm and dry winter climate in West Taiwan, the short term league aims to offer young baseball players additional training experience and continued exposure in off-season games. It was held for the first and only time from September 18 to 23, 2018 in Hoofddorp, Netherlands. It was organized by the Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB), the City of Hoofddorp and the local baseball club Hoofddorp Pioniers. It was featured by the top 6 nations of the 2016 European Championship and ESF Women's Championship.
