The Feminist Initiative (Polish : Inicjatywa Feministyczna, IF) was a minor centre-left Polish political party advocating for women's rights. It was registered on 11 January 2007 and was known as Women's Party (Polish : Partia Kobiet) until the 27th of August 2016. It was dissolved on 19 January 2020.
This party worked to strengthen and defend women's rights, abortion rights, LGBT rights, asylum rights and refugee rights.
In the 21 October 2007 National Assembly election, the party won 0.28% of the popular vote and no seats in the Sejm or the Senate of Poland. In 2011 general election, the party unsuccessfully stood candidates for election to the Sejm from the Democratic Left Alliance lists. In 2016 "Women's Party" was renamed "Feminist Initiative". [1]
After 13 years of existence, in early 2020 the party was dissolved.

Parliamentary elections were held in Poland on 21 October 2007, after the Sejm voted for its own dissolution on 7 September. The election took place two years before the maximum tenure of four years, with the previous elections having been in September 2005. The early elections were a result of serious allegations of massive corruption on the part of Andrzej Lepper, leader of the Self-Defense of the Republic of Poland, whose party served as a junior coalition partner to the government of Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński. All 460 seats in the Sejm and all 100 seats in the Senate were up for election.

Barbara Anna Nowacka is a Polish politician. A left activist in Labour United, and later in Your Movement, in October 2015 she became leader of the United Left coalition for the 2015 Polish parliamentary election, bringing together Labour United, Your Movement, the Democratic Left Alliance, the Greens, and the Polish Socialist Party. Nowacka is the daughter of the late Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Social Policy Izabela Jaruga-Nowacka. Since 2016 she has been the leader of the Polish Initiative.
Parliamentary elections were held in Poland on 13 October 2019. All 460 members of the Sejm and 100 senators of the Senate were elected. The ruling Law and Justice (PiS) retained its majority in the Sejm, but lost its majority in the Senate to the opposition. With 43.6% of the popular vote, Law and Justice received the highest vote share by any party since Poland returned to democracy in 1989. The turnout was the highest for a parliamentary election since the first free elections after the fall of communism in 1989. For the first time after 1989, the ruling party controls one house, and the opposition the other.
Ewa Slawomira Kierzkowska is a Polish politician who served as the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland from 18 June 2009 to 7 November 2011. She is a member of the Polish People's Party (PSL). Her father, Jan Szczepaniak, served in the Sejm from 1991 to 1997. Born in Brodnica, Kierzkowska joined the United People's Party in 1982, then joined the PSL after the former was dissolved in 1989.
