Iran has competed at the Asian Games since the first event in 1951 Delhi, and the best achievement was in 1974, when the country hosted the event in Tehran, by ranked second with the acquisition of 36 gold, 28 silver and 17 bronze medals. At the latest edition in Incheon, the country wrapped up its campaign with 57 medals in all - 21 gold, 18 silver and 18 bronze.

Huang Mengkai of China managed to claim the gold medal after won the final match against Nicholas Choi of Hong Kong with the score 11–10. Choi settled for the silver medal, and the bronze medal goes to Son Young-ki of South Korea and Cheung Ka Long of Hong Kong.

She also won the bronze medal in the women's team foil event. She also competed at the World Fencing Championships in 2018 and in 2019.
Huo Xingxin is a Chinese fencer. She competed in the women's foil event at the World Fencing Championships in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Xu Yingming is a Chinese fencer. In 2018, he won one of the bronze medals in the men's team sabre event at the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Four years earlier, he also won one of the bronze medals in the same event at the 2014 Asian Games held in Incheon, South Korea. He has also won medals at several editions of the Asian Fencing Championships.
