Naanum Rowdy Dhaan is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language romantic action comedy film written and directed by Vignesh Shivan, produced by actor Dhanush under his banner Wunderbar Films, and distributed by Lyca Productions. The song was released as first single track of the film on 10 August 2017. As of October 2020, the video song has grossed 155 million of views in YouTube. The song portrays about the popularity of Tamil speaking people all over the world. The song features Vijay as Vetrimaaran, praising Tamil heritage and pride following a wrestling match in Punjab.

Velaiilla Pattadhari popularly referred to as VIP is the soundtrack album, composed by Anirudh Ravichander of the 2014 Tamil film of the same name starring Dhanush and Amala Paul in the lead roles, while Saranya Ponvannan, Samuthirakani and Surbhi portray supporting roles. This film marks the second collaboration of Anirudh with Dhanush, after his debut film 3 (2012). The film's soundtrack was launched on 14 February 2014 to positive response from critics and audiences.

Aadukalam (transl. Playground) is the soundtrack album for the Tamil film of the same name directed by Vetrimaaran. The film featured music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar in his second collaboration with Vetrimaaran and Dhanush after Polladhavan (2007), and its soundtrack album features seven tracks; four songs, two rap numbers and an instrumental. Lyrics for the songs were written by Snehan, Ekadesi, Yugabharathi, V. I. S. Jayapalan and Yogi B. The album distributed by Sony Music was released on 1 December 2010.

7aum Arivu is the soundtrack to the 2011 film of the same name directed by A. R. Murugadoss and starred Suriya, Johnny Trí Nguyễn and Shruti Haasan. The music and original score is composed by Harris Jayaraj in his second collaboration with Murugadoss after Ghajini (2005). The film consisted of six tracks written by Pa. Vijay, Na. Muthukumar, Kabilan and Madhan Karky, the latter wrote a song in Chinese language. The soundtrack was released at the launch event held in Chennai Trade Centre on 22 September 2011, with Sony Music India distributing the album in digital and physical formats. The soundtrack to the Telugu-dubbed version 7th Sense was also released on the same date.
