In the 2007–08 season Panathinaikos played for 49th consecutive time in Greece's top division, Super League. They also competed in UEFA Cup and Greek Cup. Season started with José Peseiro as team manager. In summer of 2007 many players left the club including Igor Bišćan and Víctor Sánchez who hadn't fulfilled the expectations of Panathinaikos' fans with their performance. The club was managed to become the champions for 6th consecutive year and for 18th time during the last 20 seasons. Olympiacos also participated in the Greek Football Cup, losing at the final against AEK athens. They also took part in the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.

The 2018–19 season was Olympiacos's 60th consecutive season in the Super League Greece and their 93nd year in existence. They also participated in the Greek Football Cup, where they reached the quarter-finals, and in the UEFA Europa League, where they reached the round of 32. For the second consecutive season, Olympiacos did not win any competition. This was their first consecutive trophyless seasons since 1994–95 to 1995–96.

The 1967–68 season was the 44th season in the existence of AEK Athens F.C. and the ninth consecutive season in the top flight of Greek football. They competed in the Alpha Ethniki, the Greek Cup and the Balkans Cup. The season began on 7 October 1967 and finished on 31 August 1968.

The 2023–24 Super League 2, known as Super League 2 betsson for sponsorship reasons, is the fifth season of the Super League 2, the second-tier Greek professional league for association football clubs, since the restructuring of the Greek football league system.
