Louis Cha Leung-yung,better known by his pen name Jin Yong,was a Chinese wuxia novelist and essayist who co-founded the Hong Kong daily newspaper Ming Pao in 1959 and served as its first editor-in-chief. He was Hong Kong's most famous writer,and is named along with Gu Long and Liang Yusheng as the "Three Legs of the Tripod of Wuxia". He is also known as one of the "Four Great Talents of Hong Kong".

Li Mochou is a fictional character from the Chinese wuxia novel The Return of the Condor Heroes by Jinyong. She is Xiaolongnü's senior. She was more powerful in martial arts than her junior at the start of the novel. Although she is beautiful in appearance,she morphs into a vicious killer after her lover betrays her. However,she appears as a motherly figure to the infant Guo Xiang,whom she kidnaps from her parents. She is seen trying to take the Jade Maiden Sutra from Xiaolongnüon several occasions at the beginning of the novel,but has never been successful. She commits suicide by throwing herself into the fire in Passionless Valley.
Mei Chaofeng,original name Mei Ruohua,is a character in the wuxia novel The Legend of the Condor Heroes by Jin Yong. She was the fourth disciple of Huang Yaoshi. She was known as the Iron Corpse (鐵屍) due to her dark complexion and rigid appearance. She,along with her eloped husband Chen Xuanfeng,were despised by the martial arts community for unethical behaviour. She later become the teacher of Yang Kang. She died in battle against Ouyang Feng while attempting to save her teacher,Huang Yaoshi.
