As of the census [10] of 2000, there were 7,766 people, 2,363 households, and 2,018 families living in the CDP. The population density was 3,705.4 inhabitants per square mile (1,430.7/km2). There were 2,376 housing units at an average density of 1,133.7 per square mile (437.7/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 94.84% White, 1.27% African American, 0.05% Native American, 1.74% Asian, 1.21% from other races, and 0.89% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.02% of the population.
There were 2,363 households, out of which 57.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.5% were married couples living together, 8.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 14.6% were non-families. 11.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 1.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.29 and the average family size was 3.60.
In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 36.1% under the age of 18, 7.0% from 18 to 24, 37.0% from 25 to 44, 17.6% from 45 to 64, and 2.3% who were 65 years of age or older.
