Chisago County is a county in the east-central part of the U.S. state of Minnesota. The county covers an area of 442 square miles and, as of the 2020 Census, had a population of 56,621 people. It is part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Center City Historic District is a grouping of 19 homes and one church located along the east side of Summit Avenue situated on a hill overlooking North Center Lake in Center City, Minnesota, United States. It was listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. Center City became the county seat of Chisago County in the 1870s, during a time of Swedish migration and settlement in the county. The buildings in the historic district include the Chisago Lake Evangelical Lutheran Church, which was the main Swedish Lutheran parish in the area, as well as a number of residences built between 1888 and 1910. The homes have moderate ornamentation and attention to architectural styling details of their period.
Vasa Children's Home was the oldest orphanage in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It was founded by Swedish missionary Eric Norelius in 1865 and evolved into what is now Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota. After 151 years of operation the home itself closed in 2016, though Lutheran Social Service continues to serve the same populations as one of the largest non-profit social services providers in the state.
Steelesville Cemetery is located at 21112 728th Avenue, two miles south of Dassel, Minnesota and is property of Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Dassel, Minnesota. The cemetery is maintained and operated by the Steelesville Cemetery Association, a nonprofit organization incorporated in 1970, composed of interested friends, families, neighbors and church members. This one-acre cemetery, located among the hills of Collinwood Township, is long in history going back to 1878. As of April 2012, there were 249 people interred within the grounds of Steelesville Cemetery. Many of the deceased laid to rest in Steelesville Cemetery are among the original Swedish pioneers, along with their descendants, who were among many that homesteaded the surrounding agricultural community.

It was built in 1874 and used successively by Swedish, Norwegian, and German immigrant congregations. The church and its adjacent cemetery were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989 for having local significance in the theme of European ethnic heritage. It was nominated for being the only intact surviving ethnic church from the peak of European immigration to Wabasha County.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 for having local significance in the themes of architecture, exploration/settlement, and religion. It was nominated as one of Wright County's finest examples of a brick Gothic Revival parish church and for its association with the area's Swedish immigrants.
