Generation Beta (often shortened to Gen Beta) is the proposed demographic cohort succeeding Generation Alpha. Futurist and demographer Mark McCrindle, who also coined the name Generation Alpha, defines the cohort as those born from 2025 to 2039. As the successor to Generation Alpha, the generation is named after beta, the second letter in the Greek alphabet. [a]
Generation X is the demographic cohort following the Baby Boomers and preceding Millennials. Researchers and popular media often use the mid-1960s as its starting birth years and the late 1970s as its ending birth years, with the generation generally defined as people born from 1965 to 1980. By this definition and U.S. Census data, there are 65.2 million Gen Xers in the United States as of 2019. Most of Generation X are the children of the Silent Generation and early Baby Boomers; Xers are also often the parents of Millennials and Generation Z.

Tick–tock was a production model adopted in 2007 by chip manufacturer Intel. Under this model, every new process technology was first used to manufacture a die shrink of a proven microarchitecture (tick), followed by a new microarchitecture on the now-proven process (tock). It was replaced by the process–architecture–optimization model, which was announced in 2016 and is like a tick–tock cycle followed by an optimization phase. While researchers and popular media generally identify early 2010s as the starting birth years and the mid-2020s as the ending birth years, these ranges are not precisely defined and may vary depending on the source. Named after alpha, the first letter in the Greek alphabet, Generation Alpha is the first to be born entirely in the 21st century and the third millennium. The majority of Generation Alpha are the children of Millennials.
Coronials is a demographic cohort, a potential subset of Generation Z or Generation Alpha, conceived in the wake of the 2019-20 coronavirus pandemic. Similarly to Population Growth following the initial decline in population due to natural disasters or war, such as Second World War baby boomers, Coronials are conceived in one of two situations: increased sexual activity between self-isolated or locked-down couples, or population growth following the demise of the infection; which has been encouraged amongst some communities and governments.
Zillennials, or Zennials, is a social cohort encompassing people born on the cusp of, or during the latter years of the Millennial generation and the early years of Generation Z. Their adjacency between the two generations and limited age set has led to their characterization as a "micro-generation". They are generally the children of younger Baby Boomers and Generation X. Estimates of the U.S. population in this cohort range from 30 million to 48 million.
Slang used or popularized by Generation Z differs from slang of earlier generations; ease of communication via Internet social media has facilitated its rapid proliferation, creating "an unprecedented variety of linguistic variation".
Gyatt is a term from African-American Vernacular English originally used in exclamation, such as "gyatt damn". In the 2020s, the word experienced a semantic shift and gained the additional meaning of "a person, usually a woman, with large and attractive buttocks and sometimes an hourglass figure".
