The George Capron House is a historic house located at 6 North Pleasant Street in Taunton, Massachusetts.

Description and history

Constructed in 1888, the house is considered a fine example of a "builders Queen Anne" style house built for middle class residents during the late 19th century. The 2+12-story house has asymmetrical massing typical of the style, with projecting gabled sections and a decorative wraparound porch. The property includes a matching carriage house. [2]

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 5, 1984.

The Jonathan Dean House was a historic colonial American house located at 175 Dean Street in Taunton, Massachusetts, near the Raynham town line. It was a 1+12-story Cape style house, five bays wide, whose entry was flanked by fluted pilasters, and cornice had a festooned frieze. It was built in 1766 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. At the time, it was considered to be the most highly detailed 18th century house in the city. However, the house was demolished in the mid-1990s for a pharmacy.

Dean's family had a long history in the community, establishing the iron works in the 17th century.
