Gods of Metal was the biggest Italian metal festival, held annually from 1997 to 2016. It took place in early summer, usually on the first or second weekend of June. It was most often held at venues in or near Milan, but took place in Bologna three times and one time in Turin. It was acquired by Live Nation in 2010. [1]

The 1934 FIFA World Cup was the second edition of the FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international football championship for senior men's national teams. It took place in Italy from 27 May to 10 June 1934.
The Milan Metro is the rapid transit system serving Milan, Italy, operated by Azienda Trasporti Milanesi. The Stadio Olimpico is the largest sports facility in Rome, Italy, seating over 70,000 spectators. It is located within the Foro Italico sports complex, north of the city. The structure is owned by the Italian National Olympic Committee and it is used primarily for association football. The Stadio Olimpico is the home stadium of the Roma and Lazio football clubs, and also hosts the Coppa Italia final. The Italian Rugby Union team also use the stadium for their home matches. It was rebuilt for the 1990 FIFA World Cup and it hosted the tournament final.
Line 1 is the first underground rapid transit line built in Milan, Italy. It is part of the Milan Metro and it is operated by ATM. Works on the line began in 1957, and the first part was opened on 1 November 1964, running from Sesto Marelli to Lotto station. The line is also called Red Line, as it is visually identified by red signs. Due to its premiership, the line gave its red color to the Milan Metro logo.

Mostly used for football matches, the stadium was built in 1988 and has a capacity of 16,917. The stadium is also used for rugby matches, concerts and other events.
The Trofeo Luigi Berlusconi is an annual association football friendly match. It was first organized by Italian club AC Milan, and usually played in August at the San Siro, Milan's home stadium. After a five-year hiatus, the 2021 game was organized, for the first time, by Monza and played at the Stadio Brianteo, Monza's home stadium.
The Idroscalo is an artificial lake in Milan, Italy that was originally constructed as a seaplane airport. It opened on 28 October 1930, in the heyday of seaplanes. When the use of seaplanes for passenger transport declined it became a recreational and sport facility.
The 2008–09 Coppa Italia was the 62nd season of the tournament. The competition started on 9 August 2008 and ended on 13 May 2009. The radically different format used in the 2007–08 Coppa was abandoned, with the new format more closely resembling earlier editions of the tournament.

The joint bid from the two cities beat another joint bid from Swedish cities Stockholm–Åre by 47–34 votes at the 134th Session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Lausanne, Switzerland, on 24 June 2019.
The 2026 Winter Paralympics, officially known as the XIV Paralympic Winter Games, and commonly known as Milano-Cortina 2026, is an international winter multi-sport event for disabled athletes that is scheduled to take place in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, from 6 to 15 March 2026. The election was held on 24 June 2019 at the 134th IOC Session in Lausanne, Switzerland, home of the IOC headquarters. Milan-Cortina were elected as hosts, defeating Stockholm-Åre.
Arena Parco Nord is a natural amphitheatre located in Bologna, Italy. It is used primarily for open-air concerts. The amphitheatre has served as the venue for the Independent Days Festival since 1999. It also hosted part of the European Monsters of Rock tour in 1990.
The 2019 UEFA European Under-21 Championship was the 22nd edition of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-21 national teams of Europe. The composition of the nine groups in the qualifying group stage was decided by the draw held on 28 January 2021, 12:00 CET (UTC+1), at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, with the teams seeded according to their coefficient ranking.
