The Government Law College, Thiruchirappalli is one of seven government law colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Like the rest of the law colleges in Tamil Nadu, it is administered by Tamil Nadu's Department of Legal Studies, and affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University.
The Tiruchirappalli college was opened in 1979, the same year as the Coimbatore college, joining existing government law colleges at Chennai and Madurai.
The college has undergraduate and graduate programs, and maintains a hostel for girl students.

Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, commonly known by its former name Madras Law College, is a law school, located in Chennai (Madras), Tamil Nadu, India. It is also referred to as Government Law College or GLC, Chennai. It was established in 1891. It was renamed in 1990, as Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, by the Government of Tamil Nadu in commemoration of the birth centenary of B. R. Ambedkar. Greenways Road is a road and neighbourhood in Chennai, India. It is lined with the official residences of ministers of Tamil Nadu state government and judges of Chennai High Court. It also houses the Tahsildar district magistrate office of the Mylapore-Triplicane taluk. A park and memorial named after B. R. Ambedkar, the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Tamil Nadu Judicial Academy, Jesus Calls Prayer Tower, Kutchipudi Art Academy, Tamil Nadu Government Music College, Tamil Nadu Human Rights Commission, Anna Institute of Management, Dr. MGR Janaki College of Arts and Science for Women are located on this road. Part of this road is now renamed after D. G. S. Dinakaran. After the Eliphanstone Bridge was built a new road connecting Adyar to Greenways Road named Adyar Bridge Road was formed. Meenakshi Cinetone, one of the oldest cinema studios in Chennai and Jupiter Studios was also located on this road.
Kutladampatti Falls is a waterfall located in the village of Kutladampatti near Vadipatti in Madurai district about 30 km (19 mi) northwest of Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. The waterfall is in a reserve forest managed by the Tamil Nadu Forest Department. The water falls from a height of about 27 metres (89 ft).

At the beginning the college was running at Ponnusamy Pillai Bungalow located on Tiruchendur Road, Palayamcottai. Now the college is functioning in it newly constructed building.
