Gregory Elliott is an American politician who is a Republican member of the Mississippi House of Representatives,representing the 82nd district. [1] [2] He was first elected in a special election on April 22,2025 to succeed Democratic representative Charles Young Jr.,who died in office. [3] The district is based in Lauderdale County and is centered around the city of Meridian. [4]
Elliott is a lifelong resident of Meridian. [5] He graduated from Jackson State University. [6] He previously served on the Meridian Civil Service Commission for Ward 4. [7] [8] [9]
Elliott opposes cuts to and the dismantling of the Department of Education. [10]
