Geography

Hackberry is located at 33°9′0″N96°55′7″W / 33.15000°N 96.91861°W / 33.15000; -96.91861 (33.150134, –96.918702). [6] It is neighbored by Frisco to the east and south, Little Elm to the north, and Lewisville Lake to the south and west.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.69 square miles (1.8 km2), all land. It is served by the Little Elm Independent School District.

Climate

The Köppen Climate Classification subtype for this climate is "BSk" (Tropical and Subtropical Steppe Climate). [7]

As of the 2020 United States census, there were 2,973 people, 802 households, and 646 families residing in the town.

Education

It is in the Little Elm Independent School District. [11]

Residents are zoned to Hackberry Elementary School. [12] Since 2020, [13] residents are zoned to Strike Middle School. [14] Prior to 2020 residents were zoned to Lakeside Middle School. [15] All LEISD residents are zoned to Little Elm High School.

The majority of Denton County, Hackberry included, is in the boundary of North Central Texas College. [16]

Providence Village is a new town in Denton County, Texas, United States. Composed largely of a master-planned community, it includes approximately 1,700 homes and 5,750 people. At the time of the 2010 census, the town had not yet incorporated, and was instead listed by the U.S. Census Bureau as the "Providence" census-designated place, with a population of 4,786.
