Paloma Creek South is a census-designated place (CDP) in eastern Denton County, Texas, United States. It is part of the Paloma Creek master-planned community. As of the 2010 census, Paloma Creek South had a population of 2,753. [2]

Geography

Paloma Creek South is located south of U.S. Route 380 in an unincorporated area governed by the Denton County Fresh Water Supply Districts 8-A, 8-B, 11-A, 11-B, and 11-C.

Paloma Creek South first appeared as a census designated place in the 2010 U.S. Census. [15]

Education

The entire Paloma Creek South census-designated place is within the Denton Independent School District. [16] A portion of this section is zoned to Catherine Bell Elementary School, [17] while another is zoned to Paloma Creek Elementary School. [18] Most of the CDP is zoned to Navo Middle School, [19] while a portion is zoned to Rodriguez Middle School. [20] All of the CDP is zoned to Braswell High School. [21]

Previously, [22] all of the CDP was zoned to Paloma Creek Elementary, [23] Navo Middle School, [24] and Denton High School. [25]

A good number of the houses in the southern area of the community south of Lake Meadow Ln, all not in the CDP, are located within the Little Elm Independent School District. [26] There is an active homeschool community.[ citation needed ]

The majority of Denton County, Paloma Creek South included, is in the boundary of North Central Texas College. [27]

As of the 2010 census, the Paloma Creek CDP had a population of 2,501, while Paloma Creek South had a population of 2,753. As of 2022, the HOA currently estimates the population to be approximately 20,000.

Providence Village is a new town in Denton County, Texas, United States. Composed largely of a master-planned community, it includes approximately 1,700 homes and 7,691 people as of the 2020 census. At the time of the 2010 census, the town had not yet incorporated, and was instead listed by the U.S. Census Bureau as the "Providence" census-designated place, with a population of 4,786.
