Hadoti is a region of Rajasthan state in western India, which was once called the Bundi Kingdom. The biggest cities are Jhalawar and Kota. It includes the districts of Bundi, Baran, Jhalawar and Kota and is bounded on the west by the Mewar, on the northwest by Ajmer regions of Rajasthan, and on the south by the Malwa, on the east by the Gird regions of Madhya Pradesh state.

The region of south eastern Rajasthan lies between Malwa Plateau in the east, Aravali range in the west and Marwar plateau in the west south side, on the border with Madhya Pradesh. The major river is the Chambal River, with its tributaries Kaalisindh, Parvati, Parwan and Chapi. The soil is alluvial.
The vast majority of the population are Hindu. Muslims form the largest minority and are largely concentrated in urban areas.
Hadauti is the main language spoken in the region. Hindi is popular in urban areas like Kota. Malvi and Sondwari, a distinct dialect of Malwi, is spoken in the southern and western parts of Jhalawar along with Hindi.

Hadauti or Harauti (Hadoti) is an Indo-Aryan language of Rajasthani languages group spoken by approximately four million people in the Hadoti region of southeastern Rajasthan, India. Its speakers are concentrated in the districts of Kota, Baran, Bundi and Jhalawar in Rajasthan, as well as in neighbouring areas of Madhya Pradesh.
Neemuch or Nimach is a city in the Malwa region. Neemuch crowns the north western part of Madhya Pradesh. It has been also referred to city of Nature and Peace. The town shares its northwestern border with the state of Rajasthan and is the administrative headquarters of Neemuch District. Formerly a large British cantonment of Gwalior princely state, in 1822 the town became the headquarters of the combined Rajputana–Malwa political agency and of the Malwa Agency in 1895. The British Cantonment was disbanded in 1932 after which it was maintained by a British Municipal Board.

The Conquest of Hadoti was a significant military expedition led by Sultan Mahmud Khalji of Malwa against Hadoti. The primary objective of this campaign was to capture Bundi, Kota and Jhalawar, which were under the command of Bairisal, a subordinate of Rana Kumbha. Mahmud Khalji marched towards Hadoti in the year 1457-1458 A.D. to achieve this goal.
