On October 23, 2019, the Japan Patent office reported a filing for the series. [24] On November 28, 2019, Toei Animation opened the site for Healin' Good PreCure. [25] The franchise's traditional baton pass featuring Cure Star, the lead cure of the previous Pretty Cure season Star Twinkle PreCure , and Cure Grace, along with Fuwa and Rate was shown at the end of episode 49, the final episode of Star Twinkle PreCure. [26] The series is directed by Yoko Ikeda, with Junko Komura handling series' composition, Naoko Yamaoka designing the characters, and Shiho Terada composing the music. [27] It began airing on ANN on February 2, 2020, with an announcement show in Sunshine City, Tokyo that was broadcast live on YouTube the day before the series' premiere. [28] The 13th episode, originally scheduled to air on April 26, 2020, was postponed until June 28, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the series re-airing select episodes during this time. [29] [30] Toei Animation and Arstech Guild used Unreal Engine 4 for the second ending animation. Toei Animation Inc. and Crunchyroll began streaming the series with subtitles in North America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Latin America on June 28, 2020. [31]

Video releases

The series is released on both DVD and Blu-ray via Pony Canyon in Japan. The first DVD volumes were released on July 22, 2020, while the first Blu-ray volume was first released on September 16, 2020.

Film

Characters from the series appear in the crossover film Pretty Cure Miracle Leap: A Strange Day with Everyone (映画プリキュアミラクルリープ みんなとの不思議な1日, Eiga Purikyua Mirakuru Rīpu: Minna to no Fushigi na ichinichi), which also features characters from Hugtto! PreCure and Star Twinkle PreCure . [32] [33] The film was originally scheduled for release on October 31, 2020 (Halloween). [34] [35] [36] [37]

A standalone film, titled Healin' Good Pretty Cure: GoGo! Big Transformation! The Town of Dreams (映画ヒーリングっど♡プリキュア ゆめのまちでキュン!っとGoGo!大変身!!, Eiga Hīrin Guddo Purikyua Yume no Machi de Kyun! tto GoGo! Dai henshin!!) premiered on March 20, 2021. [38] [39] The film is a crossover between Healin' Good Pretty Cure series and Yes! PreCure 5 GoGo! , the 5th series in the franchise.

Manga

Futago Kamikita wrote and illustrated the manga adaptation of the series, which began serialization on Kodansha's Shōjo magazine Nakayoshi in March 2020. The first Tankobon volume is released on September 11, 2020, while the second volume was released on March 12, 2021.

    The Pretty Cure series is a Japanese magical girl anime franchise created by Izumi Todo and produced by ABC Television, Asatsu-DK and Toei Animation. Each series revolves around a group of magical girls known as Pretty Cures who battle against evil forces.     Yes! PreCure 5 is a Japanese anime series and the fourth installment in Izumi Todo's Pretty Cure metaseries produced by Toei Animation, featuring the third generation of Cures. The series aired on TV Asahi between February 2007 and January 2008 and received a sequel season, Yes! PreCure 5 GoGo!, which is the franchise's fifth installment and aired between February 2008 and January 2009. Both series were directed by Toshiaki Komura and written by Yoshimi Narita. The character designs were done by Toshie Kawamura, who would go on to work on the character designs for Smile PreCure! and Hug! Pretty Cure. An illustration book of her works was released on February 12, 2014. A manga adaptation was serialized in Kodansha's monthly Nakayoshi magazine.     HeartCatch PreCure!, or HeartCatch Pretty Cure! is a Japanese anime series and the seventh installment in the Pretty Cure metaseries by Izumi Todo, featuring the fifth generation of Cures. The series is produced by Toei Animation, directed by Tatsuya Nagamine, and written by Takashi Yamada. Character designs were done by Yoshihiko Umakoshi. The series premiered on February 7, 2010 on TV Asahi's ANN network, succeeding Fresh Pretty Cure!, and ended on January 30, 2011, where it was succeeded by Suite PreCure.

    <i>Pretty Cure All Stars</i> Series of Japanese anime films

    Pretty Cure All Stars or Precure All Stars is a series of Japanese anime films produced by Toei Animation based on Izumi Todo's Pretty Cure anime television franchise. Each movie features a storyline which crosses over characters from all Pretty Cure anime series to date. From Dream Stars onwards, the films instead feature Cures from the current series and the previous two series. However, All Stars F returns to the initial format by featuring all 78 Cures. As of September 2023, there are currently 14 main films in the series, All Stars movies are generally released shortly after the premiere of a new Pretty Cure television series. The most recent Pretty Cure team at the time of release generally has the largest involvement with the movie's plot. In the opening scenes of each movie, a running gag occurs, in which the most recent Pretty Cure team bump into older teams by accident. As well, the fairies of Pretty Cure teams know each other as friends. With the exception of A Wonderful Day with Everyone, each movie to date utilizes Miracle Lights, which are small flashlights handed out to audience members during screenings, with the finale encouraging viewers to wave their lights to support the Cures in defeating the main antagonist. The films often have a short segment instructing children on how to use their Lights safely. These Lights have also been made available for certain movies based on the individual series.

    <i>Smile PreCure!</i> Japanese anime television series

    Smile PreCure! is a 2012 Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation and the ninth installment in Izumi Todo's Pretty Cure metaseries, featuring the seventh generation of Cures. The series is written by Shōji Yonemura, best known as the head writer of Glass Fleet and Kamen Rider Kabuto. The character designs were done by Toshie Kawamura, who previously worked on character designs for Yes! PreCure 5. Like Yes! Pretty Cure 5, the team has five members with a color scheme of pink, red, yellow, green, and blue, but unlike it its members are classmates in their second year of middle school, and there are no additional team members. The series aired on All-Nippon News Network (ANN)'s TV Asahi network between February 5, 2012, and January 27, 2013, replacing Suite PreCure♪ in its timeslot, and was succeeded by DokiDoki! PreCure.
