Heniz (Persian : هنيز‎, also Romanized as Henīz; also known as Hīnz)^[1] is a village in Alamut-e Pain Rural District, Rudbar-e Alamut District, Qazvin County, Qazvin Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 518, in 109 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Alamut-e Pain Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Rudbar-e Alamut District, Qazvin County, Qazvin Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 3,596, in 1,198 families. The rural district has 37 villages.
