Shahrestan-e Olya (Persian : شهرستان عليا, also Romanized as Shahrestān-e ‘Olyā; also known as Shahrestān-e Bālā, Shahristān, and Shahristān Bāla) [1] is a village in Rudbar-e Shahrestan Rural District, Alamut-e Gharbi District, Qazvin County, Qazvin Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 162, in 49 families. [2]

Alamut-e Gharbi District, formerly Rudbar-e Shahrestan District, is a district (bakhsh) in Qazvin County, Qazvin Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 21,000, in 7,272 families. The District has one city: Razmian. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Rudbar-e Mohammad-e Zamani Rural District, Rudbar-e Shahrestan Rural District, and Dastjerd Rural District. People of Alamut-e Gharbi District belong to the Tat ethnic group and they speak Tati language.
