The IMOCA 60 Class yacht Corum L'Epargne, FRA 9 was designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian [1] and launched on 5 May 2020 [2] after being built CDK Technologies based in Lorient, France. [3] [2]

Following the second dismasting of his boat during the Defi Azimut in October 2023 after doing so already in the 2020-2021 Vendée Globe, Nicolas Troussel (FRA) lost the support of his sponsor Corum and with that the boat Corum l'Epargne. [4]

The IMOCA 60 Class yacht L'Occitane en Provence, FRA 2 was designed by Sam Manuard and launched on the 31st January 2020 after being assembled by Black Pepper Yachts based in Nantes, France. With the hull moulding done by Pauger Composites in Hungary.

The Route du Rhum is a single person transatlantic race the 2022 race was the 12th edition and had six classes with 138 boats taking part. The events status as a qualification for event for the Vendee Globe lead to the largest most competitive fleet of IMOCA 60 class yachts gathered todate. In his first attempt at the race Charles Caudrelier took line honours in a new race record time on the Maxi Multihull Edmond de Rothschild in six days, 19 hours and 47 minutes.
