I Can See Your Voice is a Belgian Dutch-language television mystery music game show series based on the South Korean programme of the same title. It premiered on VTM on 26 March 2022, [2] [3] and has been aired for three seasons.
Presented with a group of seven "mystery singers", the guest artist(s) and a group of two contestants must attempt to eliminate bad singers from the group without ever hearing them sing, assisted by clues and a celebrity panel over the course of five rounds. At the end of a game, the last remaining mystery singer is revealed as either good or bad by means of a duet between them and one of the guest artists. [4] [5]
If the singer is good, the contestants win €2,500; if the singer is bad, the same amount is given to the bad singer instead.
Following the successful broadcasts of The Masked Singer , DPG Media formally acquired the rights to produce a local adaptation of I Can See Your Voice in Belgium (catering the Dutch-speaking community) in March 2021, including with production duties assigned by Warner Bros. International Television Production. [6] [7]
Filming of the show took place at VTM Studios in Vilvoorde. [8]
I Can See Your Voice debuted on 26 March 2022. [2] [3] During its first season airings, the series was already renewed for a second season [9] that premiered on 2 September 2022, but it was prematurely ended on 23 September 2022; its remaining episodes would begin airing a separate third season on 5 May 2023. [a] A day after its finale, the series was renewed for a fourth season. [16]
The series has a panel of celebrities who assist the guest artist(s) to decipher mystery singers' identities throughout the game. Overall, eight different members have been assigned as panelists, with their original lineup being Vincent Fierens , Kamal Kharmach , Kürt Rogiers , and Ingeborg Sergeant.
Beside them, subsequent members that have assigned panelist duties also include Ruth Beeckmans , Karen Damen, Jake Reese, and Jamie-Lee Six (from 4th season).
