The Israel women's national basketball team represents Israel in international women's basketball matches and is controlled by the Israel Basketball Association. [2] Israel have hosted the FIBA Women's EuroBasket in 1991, and hosted again in 2023 along with Slovenia.

In addition to competing, Israeli referee David Romano work the first leg, of the first round, finals match, between Greece and Poland. [105]

During the first game of the round, Israel held an eight-point lead with eight minutes to go in the game, but ultimately fell to Croatia 76-73. [107] During their first game against Bulgaria, Israel original trailed by eight before coming back to hold on to a 71-68 victory. [108] During the third game of the tournament, Israel again lost to Croatia, by the score of 83-56. [109] Israel, during their fourth game lost to Bulgaria and was officially eliminated from the tournament. [110]

EuroBasket, also commonly referred to as the European Basketball Championship, is the main international basketball competition that is contested quadrennially, by the senior men's national teams that are governed by FIBA Europe, which is the European zone within the International Basketball Federation.
The Cyprus men's national basketball team represents Cyprus in international basketball, and is controlled by the Cyprus Basketball Federation. The national team is coached by Christophoros Livadiotis.
The Estonia men's national basketball team represents Estonia in international basketball matches. They are controlled by the Estonian Basketball Association. The team competed in their first international tournament at the 1936 Olympic Games. Estonia has also qualified for the EuroBasket six times overall, with their best results coming in 1937 and 1939. However, after 1939, Estonia halted national team activities due to the occupation of the Baltic states during World War II. Estonia would later rejoin FIBA in 1991, after regaining independence from the Soviet Union.
The Luxembourg men's national basketball team represents Luxembourg in international basketball tournaments. They are controlled by the Luxembourg Basketball Federation.
The Albania men's national basketball team represents Albania in international basketball competitions. The national team is governed by the Albanian Basketball Association.
The Portugal men's national basketball team represents Portugal in international basketball competition. The team is controlled by the Portuguese Basketball Federation.
The North Macedonia men's national basketball team represents North Macedonia in international basketball and is controlled by the Basketball Federation of North Macedonia. They joined FIBA in 1993, after they gained independence from Yugoslavia. That same year the national team played their first official match against Estonia. Prior to 1993, Macedonian players took part on the Yugoslavia national team.
The Georgia men's national basketball team represents the country of Georgia in international basketball matches, and is controlled by the Georgian Basketball Federation. Georgia became a member of FIBA in 1992, after they gained independence from the Soviet Union. The national team played their first official match against Poland in 1995.
The Ukraine men's national basketball team represents Ukraine in international basketball competitions. They are controlled by the Basketball Federation of Ukraine.
The Belarus men's national basketball team represented Belarus in international basketball matches, and are controlled by the Belarusian Basketball Federation. They came into existence in 1992 after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The team played in their first official match the following year versus Lithuania. They are Europe's most populous nation to have never qualified for a major international basketball competition.
The 2009 European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2009, was the 32nd regional championship held by FIBA Europe. The competition was held in Latvia from June 7 to June 20, 2009.
The 2015 European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2015, was the 35th edition of the continental tournament in women's basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe. The tournament was co-held in Hungary, which hosted the championship for the fifth time after 1950, 1964, 1983 and 1997, and Romania which hosted it for the second time after 1966, on 11–28 June 2015. The event was hosted by more than one country for the first time.
EuroBasket 2015 was the 39th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe. It was co-hosted by Croatia, France, Germany, and Latvia, making it the first EuroBasket held in more than one country. It started on 5 September and ended on 20 September 2015.
EuroBasket 2017 was the 40th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe and held between 31 August and 17 September 2017. Beginning from 2017, the continental championships take place every four years with a similar system of qualification as for the FIBA Basketball World Cup.
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cupqualification for the FIBA Europe region, began in August 2017 and concluded in February 2019. Contrary to previous years, no teams were automatically placed into the World Cup, so all FIBA Europe nations had to participate in qualification.
The EuroBasket 2022 qualification was a basketball competition that was played from November 2017 to February 2021, to determine the 20 FIBA Europe nations who would join the automatically qualified co-hosts Czech Republic, Georgia, Italy, and Germany at the EuroBasket 2022 finals tournament.

It featured 38 teams split in ten groups of three or four teams. The ten group winners and the four best second-ranked teams qualified for the final tournament.
The EuroBasket 2025 qualification is a basketball competition that is being played from November 2021 to February 2025, to determine the 20 FIBA Europe member nations who will join the automatically qualified co-hosts Cyprus, Finland, Poland and Latvia at the EuroBasket 2025 finals tournament.
