Jamindan, officially the Municipality of Jamindan (Capiznon/Hiligaynon: Banwa sang Jamindan; Aklanon: Banwa it Jamindan; Kinaray-a : Banwa kang Jamindan; Tagalog : Bayan ng Jamindan), is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Capiz, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 38,670 people. [3]
It is located on the western part of the province and is 48 kilometres (30 mi) from Roxas City.
Jamindan is politically subdivided into 30 barangays. [5] However, there are some of its barangays under the administrative control of other Municipalities, for instance, the Brgy Dalagsaan, and Sitio Taroytoy of Libacao, Aklan are geographically located and within the territory of Jamindan, additionally, there are also four barangays occupied by Tapaz, Capiz which also belong and located with in the territory of Jamindan, the Brgy Hilwan, Brgy Rizal Sur, Rizal Norte, and Brgy Maliao. Each barangay consists of puroks and some have sitios.
