KVG College of Engineering (KVGCE) is one of many engineering colleges in Karnataka, India. It was established in 1986 based on one of the government aided initiatives in technical education in Southern Karnataka State. It is located in Kurunjibhag, Sullia, Dakshina Kannada and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum.

KVG College is one of the engineering colleges in Karnataka, India. The engineering college, started in 1986, was one of the first semi government sector initiatives in technical education in Dakshina Kannada District. Popularly known as KVGCE, it is located in Kurunjibhag, Sullia, Dakshina Kannada.
Students are admitted to undergraduate courses on basis of their merit in the Karnataka CET [2] [3] test, or in the COMED-K undergraduate test. Students are also admitted through a management quota, which places no merit requirement; students are directly admitted to a course upon the orders of the college management (in this case, the managing trust). There is a lateral entry scheme in place, by which students holding diploma degrees can enter directly to the second year of study in engineering. Students, upon graduating, receive a Bachelor of Engineering. [4] The total undergraduate strength allotted to the college is 240 per year. [2]
Students are admitted to postgraduate courses on basis of their GATE test scores, as well as on their Post Graduate Karnataka CET scores. Students, upon graduating receive a Master of Technology, Master of Computer Applications or a Master of Business Administration degree. [3] The total postgraduate strength allotted to the college is 160. [2]
These departments offer four-year undergraduate courses in engineering. All of the undergraduate courses have been conferred government aided college status by the Visvesvaraya Technological University, [5] [6] Belgaum

B.M.S. College of Engineering or Bhusanayana Mukundadas Sreenivasaiah College of Engineering (BMSCE) is a private engineering college in Basavanagudi, Bangalore, India. It was started in 1946 by Bhusanayana Mukundadas Sreenivasaiah and is run by the B.M.S. Educational Trust. It is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University and became autonomous in 2008. BMSCE is located on Bull Temple Road, Basavanagudi, diagonally opposite to the famous Bull Temple. Though a private college, it is partially funded by the Government of Karnataka.
University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) was established in 1917, under the name Government Engineering College, by Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya. It is the 5th engineering college to be established in the country and 1st in Karnataka. UVCE is one of the few technical institutions in the country that is vested with the status of a university and autonomy on the lines of IITs. It is one of the oldest technical institutions in the country, imparting technical education leading to B.Tech., B. Arch., M.Tech., M. Arch. and PhD degrees in the various disciplines of Engineering and Architecture. The college is approved by the AICTE and the Government of Karnataka. UVCE has secured an NAAC accreditation score of 3.75. UVCE, while a constituent college of Bangalore University until 2022, secured an NIRF ranking of 64.
