The Catalogue of Life lists the following: [1]
Alexandr Pavlovich Rasnitsyn is a Russian entomologist, expert in palaeoentomology, and Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation (2001). His scientific interests are centered on the palaeontology, phylogeny, and taxonomy of hymenopteran insects and insects in general. He has also studied broader biological problems such as evolutionary theory, the principles of phylogenetics, taxonomy, nomenclature, and palaeoecology. He has published over 300 articles and books in several languages. In August 2008 he was awarded the Distinguished Research Medal of the International Society of Hymenopterists.
Acaenitinae is a subfamily of the parasitoid wasp family Ichneumonidae. Female Acaenitinae have a large triangular projecting genital plate.
Cerapachys is a genus of ants in the subfamily Dorylinae. Species are mainly myrmecophagous ants which raid the nests of other ants for prey. The genus is distributed widely throughout the Indomalayan region. The genus was revised by BoroWiec (2016) who split a number of previously synonymized genera out of Cerapachys, leaving only 5 species in the genus.
Pensoft Publishers are a publisher of scientific literature based in Sofia, Bulgaria. Pensoft was founded in 1992, by two academics: Lyubomir Penev and Sergei Golovatch. It has published over 1000 academic and professional books and currently publishes over 60 peer-reviewed open access scientific journals including ZooKeys, PhytoKeys, Check List, Comparative Cytogenetics, Journal of Hymenoptera Research, Deutsche Entomologische Zeitschrift, and Zoosystematics and Evolution.
This list of fossil arthropods described in 2011 is a list of new taxa of trilobites, fossil insects, crustaceans, arachnids and other fossil arthropods of every kind that have been described during the year 2011. The list only includes taxa at the level of genus or species.
Cymodusa is a genus of parasitoid wasps in the family Ichneumonidae.
Sericomyrmex radioheadi is a species of ant in the genus Sericomyrmex. Described by Ana Ješovnik and Ted R. Schultz in 2017, the species is endemic to Venezuelan Amazonia. The species is named after the British rock band Radiohead. Female members of the species have a white, crystal-like layer covering their bodies, but this layer is absent from the males.
Lusius is a genus of parasitoid wasps in the tribe Phaeogenini Förster, 1869 or Alomyini Förster, 1869, first described by Pierre Jules Tosquinet in 1903, published after his death. The genus is similar in appearance to species in the genus Heterischnus. Lusius occurs in the Oriental, Afrotropical, Neotropical and Australasian biogeographical regions.
Aleodorus is a genus of rove beetles in the family Staphylinidae. There are at least four described species in Aleodorus.
Exochus is a genus of ichneumon wasps in the family Ichneumonidae. There are at least 270 described species in Exochus.
Orthocentrinae is a subfamily of ichneumon wasps in the family Ichneumonidae. There are at least 29 genera in Orthocentrinae.
Rhyssinae is a subfamily of parasitoid wasps in the family Ichneumonidae. It contains eight genera and 259 described species, but there are likely many undiscovered species.
Tachinus is a genus of crab-like rove beetles in the family Staphylinidae. There are at least 120 described species in Tachinus.
Tasgius is a genus of large rove beetles in the family Staphylinidae. There are at least 20 described species in Tasgius.
Triclistus pallipes is a species of ichneumon wasp in the family Ichneumonidae. It is a parasitoid of Epermenia chaerophyllella larvae and Swammerdamia pyrella cocoons
Thesium is a genus of ant-loving beetles in the family Staphylinidae. There are at least two described species in Thesium.
Dolichomitus is a genus of ichneumon wasps in the family Ichneumonidae. There are at least 70 described species in Dolichomitus. The name is derived from the Greek dolicho, meaning long or narrow, and the Greek mitus, meaning a thread.
Enicospilus is a genus of large Ichneumonidae wasps. They are unusual for wasps in that they fly at night and can be found near porch lights. While these wasps resemble crane flies with long legs and long, thin bodies, the presence of two sets of wings distinguishes them from the single pair of wings of Diptera. There are almost 700 described species of Enicospilus.
Arotes is a genus of parasitoid wasps belonging to the family Ichneumonidae.
Campoletis is a genus of parasitoid wasps belonging to the family Ichneumonidae.
